If you haven’t been to the Downtown District in O’Fallon in a while, you be pleasantly surprised! This historical, friendly, neighborhood shopping district has a lot to offer. The area has gone thru some recent rebranding to bring more traffic to this eclectic group of businesses. One of the additions is the 7 yellow boxes positioned along the sidewalks welcoming visitors. You can often see people posing for pictures and posting them to their social media pages. This tight knit group of business owners are excited for you to come in and say “Hi.” They are eager to wow you with their exceptional customer service and attention to detail, something larger businesses can’t always do. Right now, the Downtown District is having their Christmas in July event. The local businesses have a lot of activities going on that include sidewalk sales, specialty food, drinks and products, visits with Santa and other special events. One fun event you don’t want to miss is the “Lit Bike Ride” hosted by Bike Surgeon. On July 27th at 8:30pm, riders will be covering their bikes with lights and riding up the bike trail and through town. For all the fun details of all the events, visit the Downtown District website! The O’Fallon Downtown District is also home to the brand-new Vine Street Station located at 212 E First Street. This beautiful open-air space is bustling every Saturday morning from May through October with live music, food and farmer’s market vendors from local growers and artisans. (It’s also dog friendly!) The O’Fallon Station will also be hosting a craft fair on September 22nd, 2019. You can also rent the space for a family gathering, party or work event. We encourage you to visit the Downtown District in O’Fallon and see for yourself everything that it has to offer.
