Midwest Wing Fest 2022, Sept. 2nd, 5 11:30pm, 275 St. Clair Sq, Fairview Heights. Each year we host 30k or more in attendance, have upwards of 20 or more local and national wing vendors, live music all weekend and a huge bounce area for the little ones. All food vendors must sell wings but can sell any other food item they like, making us an all out food festival. Midwest Wing Fest purpose is to raise money for combat wounded and fallen soldiers. Homestead Harvest Days 2022, Sept. 9th 11th, 1464 Old Trenton Road, Highland. The Highland Historical Society presents the 34th Annual Homestead Harvest Days at the Louis Latzer Homestead south of Highland. Activities include petting zoo, parade of power, pony rides, barrel rides, corn box for kids, tours of the homestead, music, food, vintage tractors, horses, and more.

Foodstock 2022, Sept 17th, Noon 12am, Cottage Hills VFW. Join us for a day of CommUNITY.Live music, food, activities for the kids and vendors. The heart of the event is our Stack Off challenge which welcomes local business, groups, teams, organizations or simply a group of friends to compete against each other to collect the most nonperishable food donations for local food pantries. $5 entry fee for all ages (children under 3 are free). The Mississippi Earthtones Festival is a celebration of our river through art, music, and conservation which is held every 3rd Saturday in September, brought to you by Alton Main Street and the Sierra Club. InSyrupskillet, cook sausage links according to package directions. Set aside. In medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, almond extract and cinnamon. Dip bread slice in egg mixture. Wrap bread slice around cooked sausage link, pressing seam to keep from unrolling. Repeat with remaining bread slices and sausage links. In large skillet over medium high heat, melt butter. Place roll ups in skillet, seam side down, and cook until all sides are browned, approximately 10 minutes.

Servings: 20 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 1/3 cup honey 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup raw oats 1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut 1/2 cup flaxseed meal 6 tablespoons mini chocolate chips In medium mixing bowl, stir peanut butter, honey and vanilla extract until combined. Add oats, coconut, flaxseed meal and chocolate chips. Mix until combined. Shape into 1 inch balls. Store in airtight container in refrigerator until ready to serve.
