Emily (Criss) and John Totten were married on October 3, 2020 at the Indianapolis Central Library. As circle city residents, the couple was thrilled to marry at the historic library so close to some of their favorite downtown attractions. Emily, a government affairs director at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, and John, an accounting policy manager at Cummins, quickly realized that they would need to make some adjustments to their big wedding thanks 22 slmag.net
to the pandemic. But even the masks on their faces could not hide the joy of their family and friends during this jubilant celebration in an otherwise unpredictable year. The bride's father summed it up best in his toast, "Faith and love will always survive the worst pandemics, the deepest recessions, injustices in society and political upheaval. Keep them centered in your life, because faith and love are always too big to fail."
