A new luxury development spearheaded by Corporex rises from the riverbank in Northern Kentucky

The southern side of the Ohio River is undergoing another major transformation thanks to the Corporex development group under the leadership of Covington native Bill Butler. Known as ‘Ovation,’ this three-phase, mixed-use development situated on the banks of the Ohio River, adjacent to the Licking River, and a few yards from the Taylor-Southgate Bridge, is now coming to fruition.

Mr. Butler grew up a few blocks from the development and has long yearned to continue upgrading Northern Kentucky’s waterfront. With a strong background in hospitality development, this newest venue centers around a high-end, luxury lifestyle, with a notable influence on arts and culture.

The 25-acre plot has been eyed by Corporex for over a decade. New easier traffic patterns, including the addition of roundabouts and special traffic lanes, have made the development more easily accessible. Other infrastructure also ensures that the significant project will be capable of supporting the expected influx of people related to both housing and entertainment.

Ovation Boardwalk Residences will overlook green space and walking trails

The Ovation PromoWest Pavilion concert venue, completed last year, has already hosted several shows and has a packed schedule for the remainder of 2022. While this part of the project is considered the first development phase, the waterfront portion is still under active construction. With three tower cranes actively in the air, it’s clear how it will enhance the riverfront skyline.

Corporex has added a massive retaining area up to the levee embankment so that parking will be underground, and each building’s main floor and walk-outs have unobstructed city views. As a result, the panoramic views are fully maximized up and down the Ohio River and onto the Cincinnati Skyline.

Presently under construction are two five-story Residences. The first floors of these buildings will host retail and entertainment, with the private upper floors housing the Boardwalk Residences at Ovation.

A 30 ft. wide and 1500-foot-long wooden boardwalk anchors the Residences and adds to the sophisticated atmosphere, while green space spanning from the levee to the waterfront enables unobstructed river and skyline views. There is nothing like it in this market. In addition, planned walking paths will link up with an 11-mile course spanning from Ludlow to Fort Thomas.

The entire Ovation development is purposefully designed to ensure that residents and guests experience a dynamic visual and audio tapestry throughout the property. Dubbed “CASA,” it stands for Colors, Art. Sound, and Architecture. CASA is the guiding principle in infusing beauty and cultural interest elements into these new riverfront homes. Mirage Select brand hardwood oak floors are found underfoot in the main living spaces, with carpeted bedrooms and porcelain-tiled bathrooms. All units have a minimum of 25 feet of frontal balconies along with a secondary private balcony. The floor plans are laid out so that the dining and living rooms are oriented to take advantage of the panoramic vistas. Optional layouts include configurations that imbue the primary bedroom with the primo views, an added study, or an additional powder room. In addition, the opportunity to purchase side-by-side units allows for increased space and layout flexibility.

Additional phases of development include building a stateof-the-art membership health and wellness center with an elevated pool and indoor/outdoor bar, workout rooms, event spaces, and a member’s lounge.

Residences are available for purchase and are selling quickly. Now is the time to make personalized selections and additional upgrades to a Boardwalk Residence before completion, as the estimated move in date is late 2023.
