CELEBRATION OF LEARNING 2020

On Friday, November 6, Columbus Metropolitan Library Foundation held its 28th annual – and first virtual – Celebration of Learning presented by Battelle. Host Committee Co-Chairs, John Behal and DeeDee Glimcher, helped bring together civic and corporate community leaders to raise more than half a million dollars to support the library. Guests enjoyed the event from the comfort and safety of their own homes where they raised a toast to the Honorary Chairs, Achea and Michael Redd, honored Mary Lazarus with the Julian Sinclair Smith Award for Lifelong Learning and enjoyed a timely keynote by bestselling author and infectious disease physician Dr. Abraham Verghese. Celebration of Learning proceeds are helping to provide access to the internet and technology, school and job search help and, of course, hours and hours of reading enjoyment.
