Forever Changed. The Hibiscus Children’s Village in Vero Beach opened its doors in 2004 and provides services to abused teenagers. The Village provides transitional assistance to teens who are aging out of the system through the new Expanded Foster Care Program. The Village emphasizes career preparation, training and educational services through the Career Pathways to Independence Program and the GED Program. Mental Health Services are provided to the youth by Professional Counselors who help teens overcome trauma they have endured. Specialized Sexual Abuse Counseling is provided to victims of sexual abuse. Last year, Hibiscus provided services to over 30 youth impacted by Human Trafficking. Unfortunately, this number is still growing.
