32 page comic, out on newspaper in 1000 copies, features a silkscreen printed layer meant to be peeled off. Part of an installation on censorship. Contains a 3 portrait story based on interviews and archive documents. Concept by Alexandru Berceanu, story and comics by me.In 1956 the Romanian Workers' Party decides to open a theatre in Galați. They bring together acting graduates, technicians and directors Ștefan Iordănescu and Crin Teodorescu, who in turn invite up-rising Valeriu Moisescu. The story was pieced together around Mireasa Desculță, a play advertising the agricultural cooperativization. Officials regularly ordered this sort of plays to educate villagers about the collectivization efforts. We met 3 electricians from that time, an upholsterer, one souffleur, they couldn't recollect much. 82 year old Leonard Calea, last living actor from the cast, and his wife managed to add sense to the puzzle. Finally, director Moisescu filled us in on his unlikely interpretation of the play.
