One of the most popular educational routes in St. Louis, private high schools offer smaller class sizes and additional extracurricular opportunities. These schools are great for families looking for religious education and/or specialized programs. St. Louis is the seventh largest Archdiocesan school district in the country. Private schools also give students access to extracurricular opportunities such as accelerated theatre programs, sports teams and other extracurriculars. These schools are great for families looking for a more personalized feel.

Public schools

St. Louis is home to 74 public schools that serve over 19,000 students. These schools are great for families looking for easily accessible schools with provided transportation. Along with this, public schools often offer a more diverse student population and tend to spend more time studying core subjects. The larger size of public schools also opens them up to more extracurricular activities and a variety of class types. Public school students get a great combination of extracurricular and academic opportunities. No matter what educational route you choose, St. Louis has an option for every family’s preferences.
