Free Music Technology in Libraries for young people aged 12 – 18 soundLINCS – Lincolnshire Music Development Agency – is providing full day Music Technology projects in 4 Lincolnshire libraries on Thursday and Friday 17th and 18thth April. ‘Sshhh…it’s oh so quiet’ is free for young people aged 12 – 18 and is suitable for those with an interest in MIDI & LOOP-BASED MUSIC PRODUCTION. Participants will use LAPTOP COMPUTERS and GARAGEBAND MUSIC SOFTWARE to create and mix a track by the end of the day! No previous experience is necessary. Each day lasts 10:00 – 16:00 and the libraries are in STAMFORD LIBRARY, High Street, Stamford, Lincolnshire PE9 2BB MABLETHORPE LIBRARY, Stanley Avenue, Mablethorpe, LN12 1DP LINCOLN LIBRARY, Free School Lane, Lincoln, LN2 1EZ WELTON LIBRARY, Cliff Road, Welton. Lincoln, LN2 3JJ Sshhh…it’s oh so quiet is a partnership project with LCC Culture and Education and CfBT Education Trust. It is part of a series of library based technology projects and all original work created will be featured at CfBT Arts Celebration on 5th & 6th July at Lincoln Castle. If a library is over subscribed, soundLINCS will establish a Reserve List. Young people on the Reserve List will be contacted at 10:00 am on Thursday/Friday 17th/18th April if a booked participant doesn’t turn up on that day. If you would like to be placed on the Reserve List, please tick the appropriate box on the opposite page. Any young person who cannot be offered a place this time will be offered a priority place on subsequent projects.
