8:00 THE KILLJOYS From Hamilton, Ontario – a city legendary for its punk scene (Teenage Head, The Forgotten Rebels) – the Killjoys took their show on the road, and released their first album of buzzy pop songs, “Starry” in 1994. The album had critical, and some commercial, success - driven by their first single, a frenetic ode to petulance, “Today I Hate Everyone”. Today the Killjoys seem rested, and even busted out the old costumes for some high-octane performances. thekilljoys.ca
9:30 SOUL ASYLUM In 1993, Soul Asylum quickly garnered a reputation as America’s best live band, landing their first record deal in 1984. When the ballad "Runaway Train" was released as the album's third single, it rose to number five on the Billboard chart, and won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 1994. Today, the heart and soul of Soul Asylum remains and they continue to produce honest and passionate rock n’ roll. soulasylum.com. soulasylum.com

The Steel City Rovers are definitely in the zone of Progressive Celtic, but even that is too restrictive in defining the group. Influences from Bluegrass, Appalachian Swing, and Southern Blues, spice up the groups foundations of Pan Celtic offerings. The groups fans have started to call them "Celtibilly". Where else will you hear a 300 year old Breton AnDro, brushing up against a fiery Scots fiddle reel, then followed with a driving Bluegrass riff, or enjoy a vocal number that could fit into any Country music dance hall, backed by the sounds of Scottish Smallpipes! steelcityrovers.com

The East Pointers unwrap new possibilities in a musical style that dates back centuries yet is still relevant on multiple, divergent continents. Almost without even trying, the trio makes traditional music seem ridiculously hip. Also the most fun thing on the planet to dance (and raise a pint) to. Yet it features 10 brand new original tracks

Maria St. 1:00, 2:15, 3:30 Pilot Light
Pilot Light is a solo singer/songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. His fresh and thought provoking lyrics seem to perfectly complement the pop sensibility of this up and coming artist. For several years, Michael would find his way in and out of several bands, but none would make a more lasting impression on his career than Electric Karma. From 2009-2011, Electric Karma would work its way through the circuit of live venues Toronto has to offer. As time moved on, so did the members of this alt rock trio and through the ashes of an abandoned group emerged Pilot Light - a gentler, more personal side of this musical front man. pilotlightmusic.ca

Ontario St. 1:15, 2:30, 3:45 Frog & Henry
Frog & Henry is a two-man-one-man-band, playing prewar and original music from around the world, on up to a dozen or more instruments. These instruments include a foot-operated upright bass - called a "fotdella" - and a foot-controlled tuba of their own invention - called "The Tuba Machine." Yes, a "two-man-one-man-band" is technically just... a band with two people in it... except that Frog & Henry play as many as 6 different instruments simultaneously, creating the illusion of a much larger ensemble. Each year's performances feature new inventions, usually in the form of new foot-operated contraptions. frogandhenry.com

7:00 TIA BRAZDA Tia’s first EP ‘Cabin Fever’ burst onto the scene in 2012, hitting #1 on the iTunes Canada Jazz Chart as well as receiving play on BBC and CBC Radio, Jazz FM 91.1 and college radio stations across Canada. Having honed her cutting-edge sound in the clubs of Toronto, Tia’s sassy songs and pin-up girl style have made a startling impression. Her music pays homage to the golden era while adding a modern twist. Tia’s latest album ‘Bandshell’ also debuted at #1 on the iTunes Jazz Chart and was named the #5 best Canadian jazz release of 2015 by Jazz FM 91.1 in Toronto.
Stage Her accolades include "SOCAN Composer of the Year" and "Keyboardist of the Year" at Canada's National Jazz Awards. She takes the best of pop, rock, classical, world and soul, informs it with her expertise in jazz, and weaves it into her musical arrangements and original songs. lailabiali.com

For Juno award winning singer Emilie-Claire Barlow, there never was a Plan B. 7:00 THE OBGMS
9:00 THE DIRTY NIL
The OBGMs (The oOohh Baby Gimme Mores) are a Canadian punk rock quartet based out of Toronto, Ontario. Founded in 2007, by Densil McFarlane (Lead Vocals and Guitar) and Colanthony Humphrey (Percussion), the band fully formed their unique sound with additions Jemuel Roberts (Keyboard, Vocals) and Joseph Brosnan (Bass, Vocals).
Performing live, The Dirty Nil are an unhinged, destructive force. Kyle Fisher ferociously pummels his drums, while guitarist Luke Bentham and bassist Dave Nardi stretch their amp volumes past their breaking point. Bentham and Nardi’s vocals range between melodic and frantic, violent and—less violent, with a grin on their faces. Whether live or on record, theirs is a performance based on tension and cathartic release. Three friends unified by the common desire to create something vital, meaningful, and excruciatingly loud. The Dirty Nil play rock and roll - cause they couldn’t do a damn thing else if they tried.
facebook.com/TheOBGMs
8:00 THE MOTORLEAGUE Holding Patterns is a rock record, and The Motorleague is a rock band. That may not seem like news to those that know them, but really, it is. The Moncton, New Brunswick-based foursome have been an East Coast scene staple for nearly a decade and, in recent years, have further propelled their profile across the country. It’s easy to tell why. The live show is notoriously intense and the sounds they send from the stage are nothing but passionate and pure.

SATURDAY, JUNE 18 1:00 THE PISTOLWHIPS The Pistolwhips are a blues-infused indie rock band from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The quartet is comprised of frontman Rylan Schultz, guitarist Paul Kuzbik, bass guitarist Zach Davies, and drummer Tallus Scott. The Pistolwhips combine upbeat indie rock tunes with old school blues licks and a dose of psychedelia to create a sound that is dynamic and captivating. The band’s powerful stage presence combined with their epic live performances and huge local following has led to some hailing them as a “local super group”.

SATURDAY, JUNE 18 7:00 AA WALLACE From his days growing up in the small fishing village of Wedgeport, Nova Scotia, to his days fronting Halifax indie-rock outfit Sleepless Nights, AA Wallace has always been an outlier - carving out his own musical niche that was often in stark contrast to what was going on around him. Having spent most of his life on the fringes of the Canadian scene, In Alpha Zones is Wallace’s report from the sidelines – sometimes exploratory and other times warm and familiar, a fresh piece of music that allows new audiences to discover him while maintaining the lyrical and musical aesthetics he is already known for.” aawallace.xxx
8:00 FAST ROMANTICS For Fast Romantics, it has been four years of adventuring their way through the backcountry of Canadian indierock, often attempting to straddle that hazy intersection at the corner of rock n' roll and pop. Now, with their second full-length album 'Afterlife Blues,' it sounds as though they have -- quite confidently -- found their way home. While Fast Romantics' earlier work prompted comparisons to Elvis

Costello and Blur, 'Afterlife Blues' carves a bit of a different path right through the great cities of American music. From New Jersey to Detroit, and then cutting down through the heartland, they have somehow managed to combine all of these sounds without selling their distinctly Canadian souls. fastromantics.com
9:30 MOTHER MOTHER Two years after the Juno-nominated The Sticks, the band’s apocalyptic 2012 album steeped in isolation and dread, the Vancouver quintet returns with its fifth studio album: an edgy, synth-heavy, club-driven rock record filled with massive hooks. But as is the band’s trademark, behind the gauzy boy-girl vocal harmonies, angular guitar lines and infectious rhythms lies something deeper and darker. Close to 10 years after it formed, Mother Mother is embracing its true nature. And it speaks volumes. “No matter what you do you’ll be criticized for it,” Guldemond says. “So it’s better to be criticized for taking risks rather than being safe.” mothermothersite.com

SATURDAY, JUNE 18 7:00 ERIC ETHRIDGE
9:30 JESS MOSKALUKE
Hailing from the outskirts of a blue-collar border town in Canada, Eric Ethridge’s journey to country music is one that could be reflected in a country song. He began to play guitar at a young age and started penning lyrics while in high school. As he continues to build his craft as a performer and songwriter, it is very evident that big things are to come Eric and his team. Currently, he is preparing for his first EP release, and is co-writing many songs with his fiddle player Matt Piché, a two-time Juno nominee.
With a record-breaking single, a new lip gloss line, and multiple accolades and awards including her first JUNO (2015) nominations for Country Album of the Year and Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Jess Moskaluke (MDM Recordings Inc./ Universal Music Canada) is dazzling the country music world. This award-winning songstress has recently toured Canada including performances at the Calgary Stampede, Boots and Hearts and the Big Valley Jamboree. When she is not on the road touring, Jess primarily splits her time between her home base in Saskatchewan (with her puppy Shya!), Canada and the US, writing in Nashville.

YMCA Battle of Bands Winner! Guilty Pleasure is an Alternative Rock band from Burlington Ontario. The band has been together for over three years, and is comprised of three members: Cam Hart, Evan Catania and Grady Evans. They perform often in southern Ontario, and strive to put on high energy shows featuring their unique sound.
The Canadian group Junkhouse was formed in 1989 by guitarist and singer Tom Wilson. In 1993, his group signed with the same label and a debut album, Strays, hit the market that same year. A few singles were released from the debut, along with a popular music video to "Out of My Head." Canada's answer to MTV, MuchMusic, helped Junkhouse expand its fan base and it didn't take long for Strays to go gold for the group.

Band members later made the decision to move to Toronto and make their music work in one of the most musical cities in the country. The Mohrs have put together an album that is reminiscent of 90s grunge and 80s rock. Their debut album (produced by Hawksley Workman) is a powerful record that combines sophisticated riff-based rock-pop. themohrsband.com
