Watermelon Soup (Chilled) What could be better on a hot summer day than a cool soup made with fresh watermelon and mint?

Into the soupmaker: 4 cups watermelon, cubed and seeded 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tbsp. chopped fresh mint 1 tbsp. honey Method: 1. Place all ingredients into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Put the lid on your soupmaker, and select the Blend program. 3. When soup has reached desired consistency, pour into a container and refrigerate for a minimum of two hours. 4. Enjoy! *The Blend program on your SmartLiving Soupmaker works without additional heat.

Cream of Mushroom Soup Way better than the canned stuff, and just as easy to make!

Banana Soup A soup that is creamy and chilled!

Into the soupmaker: 3 large ripe bananas ¼ tsp. nutmeg ¼ tsp. cinnamon ½ tsp. vanilla ½ tbsp. lemon juice 1 cup heavy cream 3 cups milk Method: 1. Place bananas, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, lemon juice and cream into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Replace the lid of the soupmaker and pulse the Blend function until the soup is smooth. 3. Pour into a large bowl and chill in refrigerator for at least one hour. 4. Serve! *The Blend program on your SmartLiving Soupmaker works without additional heat.

Into the soupmaker: 1 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. cornstarch 4 cups fresh chopped mushrooms ½ onion, diced 1-2 garlic cloves, minced ¼ tsp. nutmeg 1½ cups heavy cream salt and pepper to taste Add enough chicken broth to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx. 2-3 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Before you begin: Melt butter in microwave and stir in cornstarch until completely dissolved. Method: 1. Place mushrooms, onion, garlic, nutmeg, cream, salt and pepper into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Add the cornstarch and butter mixture. 3. Replace the lid on the soupmaker and set the mode to Smooth (26 min). 4. Serve!

Creamy Broccoli Cheddar Soup A full dinner in a bowl!

Into the soupmaker: 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. cornstarch 2 heads of broccoli, cut into florets 1 medium onion, diced 2 cubes chicken bouillon or concentrated jelly stock salt and pepper to taste 1 cup half and half cream Add enough milk to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx. 3-4 cups). Added at the end: 2 cups grated cheddar cheese Before you begin: Melt 2 tbsp. butter in microwave. Add 2 tsp. cornstarch and stir until smooth. Method: 1. Pour your butter cornstarch mixture into SmartLiving Soupmaker, along with broccoli, onion, concentrated stock or bouillon, salt and pepper and the cream. 2. Pour milk into soupmaker until it sits between the min. and max. lines. 3. Put the lid on your soupmaker and set to Smooth setting (26 min). 4. When soup is done add one cup cheese to the soupmaker and stir by hand until melted. 5. Serve! Pour soup into bowls and top with remaining cheddar cheese.

Strawberry Dessert Soup Try with toasted pound cake croûtons!

Into the soupmaker: 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced ½ tsp. cinnamon ⅛ tsp. cloves ⅔ cup sugar 2 tbsp. milk 1 cup apple juice, unsweetened ¼ cup sour cream 2 cups strawberry yogurt Add enough water to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx. 1 cup). Method: 1. Place strawberries, cinnamon, cloves, sugar, milk, apple juice, sour cream and yogurt into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Cover with water until the level is between min. and max. lines. 3. Replace lid and set to Smooth mode (26 min). 4. When soup is done cooking, pour into a large bowl and refrigerate at least three hours or until completely chilled. 5. Serve!

Corn and Potato Chowder Creamy and comforting.

Chilled Sugar Snap Pea Soup This is a very easy soup to make, beautiful to look at, and most important of all, incredibly delicious!

Into the soupmaker: 1 cup leeks, chopped 4 cups shelled sweet peas 1 pinch cayenne pepper 1-2 medium potatoes 2 fresh mint leaves salt and pepper to taste Add enough chicken stock to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx. 4 cups). Method: 1. Place leeks, peas, cayenne pepper, potatoes, salt, pepper and mint leaves into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Fill with chicken stock until the level is between min. and max. lines. 3. Replace lid and set on Smooth mode (26 min). 4. When soup is done, pour into bowls and refrigerate a minimum of 4 hours or until soup is completely chilled. 5. Serve!

Into the soupmaker: 5 medium sized potatoes, roughly chopped 1 medium onion, diced 1 cup chopped celery 2 garlic cloves, minced ½ tsp. seasoning salt (optional) salt and pepper to taste 1½ cups heavy cream Add enough chicken stock to fill soupmaker between min. and max. lines (approx. 2-3 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Added at the end: 3 cups cooked, drained sweet yellow corn 8 strips of cooked bacon, crumbled Method: 1. Put the potatoes, onion, celery, garlic, seasoning salt, salt, pepper and heavy cream into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Cover with chicken stock until soupmaker is filled to between min. and max. lines. 3. Replace lid and set the soupmaker to Smooth (26 min). 4. When soup is done, stir in cooked corn and half the bacon, by hand with a wooden spoon. 5. Serve and enjoy!

Cheesy Bacon and Beer Soup Canadian comfort in a bowl.

Into the soupmaker: 2-3 potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes ⅓ cup diced carrots ½ medium onion, sliced 1 stalk celery, diced ¼ tsp. thyme salt and pepper to taste ½ of a dark hoppy beer Add enough chicken stock to fill soupmaker between min. and max. lines (approx. 4 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Added at the end: 2 cups grated cheddar cheese 3-4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled Method: 1. Put the potatoes, carrots, onion, celery, thyme, salt and pepper into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Pour beer over your dry ingredients and fill the soupmaker with stock to between the min. and max. lines. 3. Place lid onto soupmaker and set to Smooth (26 min). 4. When soup is done stir one cup grated cheese into the soupmaker. 5. Serve! Upon serving, top soup bowls with crumbled, cooked bacon and the remaining one cup of cheese.

Puréed Carrot Soup Into to soupmaker: 1 pound carrots, trimmed and chopped 1 large onion, chopped 1 small sweet potato 1 tsp. cayenne pepper 1 tsp. chili pepper flakes 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1 cup milk Add enough chicken stock to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx. 3 cups). Method: 1. Place carrots, onion, sweet potato, cayenne pepper, dried pepper flakes, brown sugar and milk into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Top with chicken stock until the level sits between min. and max. lines. 3. Replace lid and set soupmaker to Smooth setting (26 min). 4. When soup is done, transfer to large bowl and refrigerate 3-4 hours or until soup is completely chilled. 5. Serve!

Chilled Fresh Pea and Arugula Soup The spinach and arugula in this soup provide enough flavour so that no stock is needed!

Into the soupmaker: 1 large onion, chopped 2 stalks of celery, diced 1 clove garlic, minced 1 medium potato 3 cups shelled fresh peas Âź tsp. granulated sugar 3 cups chopped arugula, leaves and stems salt and pepper to taste Add enough water to between min. and max. line on soupmaker (approx. 4 cups). Method: 1. Place the onion, celery, garlic, potato, peas, sugar, arugula, salt and pepper into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Pour water into the soupmaker until it is filled to between the min. and max. lines. 3. Replace the lid on the soupmaker and select the Smooth setting (26 min). 4. When the soupmaker is done, pour the soup into a large container and chill for a min. 4-6 hours. 5. Serve!

Super Simple Split Pea Soup This soup is so simple and comforting, pull it out whenever the craving strikes.

Into the soupmaker: 2 cups frozen or fresh peas ž cup cooked ham, roughly chopped 1 small onion, diced 1 clove garlic, minced 2 carrots, diced salt and pepper to taste Add enough chicken stock to fill the soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx 4 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Method: 1. Pour the peas, ham, onion, garlic, carrots, salt and pepper into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Cover with enough chicken stock to fill the soupmaker to between the min. and max. lines. 3. Return the lid to the soupmaker and set the mode to Smooth (26 min). 4. Enjoy!

Caribbean Beach Soup If you like your food a little bit spicier, don’t hesitate to add more curry paste!

Into the soupmaker: 1 small onion, chopped ½ tsp. mild curry paste 3 cups sweet potato, peeled and chopped 1 clove garlic, chopped 1 tsp. lime zest 2 tsp. lime juice 2 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro (leave out if you’re not a fan of the flavour) salt and pepper to taste 1 cup coconut milk Add enough vegetable broth to between min. and max. lines on soupmaker (approx. 3 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Method: 1. Add the onion, curry paste, sweet potato, garlic, lime zest, lime juice, cilantro, salt and pepper to your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Pour coconut milk over these ingredients and fill the soupmaker to between the min. and max. lines with vegetable broth. 3. Select the Smooth setting (26 min). 4. Serve and Enjoy!

New England Clam Chowder Into the soupmaker: 2 celery stalks, chopped 1 large onion, chopped 1 garlic clove, minced 3 small potatoes, peeled and cubed ¼ tsp. thyme salt and pepper to taste ⅓ cup flour 2 cups half and half cream (divided) 1 bottle (8 ounces) clam juice Add enough chicken stock to fill soupmaker between min. and max. lines (approx. 1 cup). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. 2 cans clams, undrained (approx. 1⅔ cup) Before you begin: In a small bowl combine one cup half and half cream with flour, stirring until smooth. Method: 1. Place celery, onion, garlic, potatoes, thyme, salt, pepper, remaining one cup of cream and clam juice into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Pour in cream and flour mixture. Add chicken stock until the level is between min. and max. lines. 3. Replace lid and set mode to Chunky (28 min) 4. Add cans of clams, stir, cover and let sit 15 min. 5. Serve!

French Onion Soup Into the soupmaker: 3 large yellow onions, sliced thin 3 tbsp. butter 2-3 sprigs of fresh thyme 1 large bay leaf ½ cup red cooking wine 2 tbsp. flour salt and pepper to taste Add enough beef broth to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx. 3 cups). Added at the end: 1 cup garlic croûtons 4 slices Swiss Cheese (or your favourite, get creative!) Before you begin: 1. Melt butter in a large skillet. Add onions, thyme and bay leaves. Cook over medium high heat approx. 10 min. 2. Pour in red cooking wine and stir. 3. Sprinkle with flour. Method: 1. Put onion mixture into your SmartLiving Soupmaker, along with salt and pepper. 2. Pour in beef broth until the level is between the min. and max. lines. 3. Replace lid and set to Chunky setting (28 min). 4. Pour into four oven safe bowls and top with croûtons and cheese. 5. Broil in oven until cheese is golden brown. 6. Serve!

Red Bell Pepper and Tomato Soup Into the soupmaker: 6 large ripened tomatoes, cut in half 3 red bell peppers, cut in half 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 avocado 1 red onion, diced 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 bunch fresh basil ½ tsp. cayenne pepper (optional, add more if you like a kick) 2 tsp. tomato purée salt and pepper to taste Add enough chicken stock to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx. 2 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Before you begin: Place the tomatoes and red peppers skin side up into an oven safe dish and roast in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes, or until they are softened and slightly charred. Method: 1. Place the contents of the roasting dish, avocado, onion, garlic, basil, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Pour chicken stock into soupmaker until it is filled to between min. and max. lines. 3. Replace lid and set mode to Smooth setting (26 min). 4. Serve!

Apple Cinnamon Butternut Squash Soup Into the soupmaker: 2 tbsp. olive oil 4 cups butternut squash, de-seeded, peeled and cut into small cubes 1 apple, peeled and chopped 1 large onion, roughly chopped 2 tbsp. packed brown sugar ¾ tsp. cinnamon ¼ tsp. nutmeg salt and pepper to taste ½ cup plain Greek yogurt ½ cup milk Add enough chicken stock to between min. and max. lines on soupmaker (approx. 4 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Before you begin: In a large frying pan heat the squash, apple and onion with 2 tbsp. olive oil, frying 2-3 minutes, stirring every so often. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg to the pan and continue to cook for 5 minutes. Method: 1. After softening the vegetables, transfer the contents of the frying pan to your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Add salt and pepper to taste, Greek yogurt and milk to the soupmaker. Mix gently with spoon to evenly distribute spices. 3. Pour chicken stock to between min. and max. lines on soupmaker. 4. Replace lid of soupmaker and select the Chunky setting (28 min). *This will not blend the soup but will help cook the squash down.

Chunky Vegetable Beef Soup If you don’t like sausage, replace with ground beef or turkey. Before adding to soupmaker sauté with onion and oil until cooked!

Into the soupmaker: 1 large onion, diced 1 pound (2½ cups) cooked spicy Italian sausage, crumbled ½ cup peas, fresh or frozen ½ cup carrots, fresh or frozen, diced ½ cup corn, fresh or frozen ½ cup green beans, diced ½ cup frozen or canned cooked lima beans 3 cups canned tomatoes (not drained) 1 tbsp. tomato purée Add enough beef stock to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx. 1 cup). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Method: 1. Place onion, crumbled sausage, peas, carrots, corn, green beans, lima beans, tomatoes, tomato purée, salt and pepper into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Pour beef stock into soupmaker until the level sits between min. and max. lines. 3. Stir gently with a wooden spoon to ensure the ingredients are well mixed. 4. Replace the lid of the soupmaker and set the mode to Chunky (28 min). 5. Enjoy!

If you would like a smoother consistency for your soup, simply press the Blend button until you have your desired consistency (Blend works without additional heat).

Tortellini Sausage Soup Into the soupmaker: ½ pound mild Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled 1 small onion, chopped 1-2 cloves of garlic, minced ½ cup sliced carrots ½ cup sliced celery ¼ sliced green bell pepper 1 large can crushed tomatoes 1 tsp. basil 1 tsp. oregano ¼ cup white wine or apple juice ¾ cup water Add enough beef broth/stock to fill soupmaker to between min. and max lines (approx. 3 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Added at the end: 1 package refrigerator tortellini, cooked Method: 1. Add cooked and crumbled sausage with onion, garlic, carrots, celery, green pepper, tomatoes, basil, oregano, white wine and water to your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Fill to between min. and max. lines with beef broth. 3. Replace lid onto soupmaker and select the Chunky setting (28 min). 4. Put cooked tortellini into the soupmaker, place the lid back on and let sit for 10 min. 5. Serve!

Curried Zucchini Soup Simple, hearty and healthy! Great sprinkled with Parmesan Cheese.

Into the soupmaker: 1 medium onion, chopped 1-2 garlic cloves, minced 4 cups zucchini, sliced 2 tbsp. lemon juice 3 tbsp. curry powder (divided) 2 tsp. cumin ½ tsp cayenne pepper salt and pepper to taste Add enough vegetable stock to fill soupmaker between min. and max. lines (approx. 4 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Method: 1. Place onion, garlic, zucchini, lemon juice, curry powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Pour vegetable stock into soupmaker until the level sits between the min. and max. lines. 3. Replace lid onto soupmaker and select the Smooth setting (26 min). 4. Serve!

White Chicken Chili Soup Parmesan Spinach Soup

An easy and unique soup. Tastes like chicken enchiladas in soup form!

A very simple and satisfying soup.

Into the soupmaker: 1 large white onion, chopped 1 clove of garlic 3-4 large baking potatoes 3 bunches of spinach (approx. 2 cups), coarsely chopped 1¾ tsp. salt pepper to taste 1 cup milk Add enough chicken stock to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx. 3 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock.

Into the soupmaker: 2 cups canned, cooked white beans, drained 2 cups shredded, cooked chicken 1 small can diced green chilies ½ can yellow corn, drained 1 tsp. cumin ½ tsp. garlic powder ½ tsp. oregano salt and pepper to taste Add enough chicken stock to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx. 4 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Added at the end: 1 cup sour cream 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack Cheese

Added at the end: ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese Method: 1. Put the onion, garlic, potatoes, spinach, salt and pepper into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. Gently stir to evenly combine ingredients. 2. Pour milk on top and add the chicken stock until the soupmaker is filled to between the min. and max. lines. 3. Choose the Smooth setting (26 min). 4. Enjoy!

Hamburger Soup This will become the kids new favourite!

Classic Chicken Noodle Soup Into the soupmaker: ½ pound ground beef 1 tbsp. seasoning salt 1 can corn 1-2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp. chopped basil 2 potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes 3 tbsp. butter ⅓ cup flour 2 cups milk Add enough chicken stock to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx. 2 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Added at the end: 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Before you begin: 1. Brown the ground beef in a frying pan until cooked through and sprinkle with seasoning salt. 2. Melt butter in microwave and whisk in flour until smooth. Method: 1. Place ground beef mixture, corn, garlic, basil, potatoes, butter mixture and milk into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Fill soupmaker with stock until it sits between min. and max. lines. 3. Replace lid and set the soupmaker to Chunky setting (28 min). 4. Top with grated cheese and serve!

Everyone’s favourite - homey and comforting!

Into the soupmaker: 3-4 carrots, cut into small pieces 2-3 stalks of celery, diced 1½ cups cooked shredded chicken salt and pepper to taste Add enough chicken stock to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines (approx. 4 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. If using bouillon cubes, you will need 5-6. Added at the end: 4 cups cooked egg noodles Method: 1. Place carrots, celery, salt, pepper and chicken into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Pour in enough chicken stock to fill soupmaker to between min. and max. lines. 3. Replace lid on soupmaker and select the Chunky setting (28 min). 4. Divide hot egg noodles between four bowls and ladle soup on top. 5. Serve!

Vegetarian Stew A hearty stew you won’t know whether to eat with a fork or spoon.

Tortilla Soup with Black Beans and Chicken Authentic with just a slight kick.

Into the soupmaker: 1 tbsp. butter or oil 1 cup yellow squash, cubed 1 cup zucchini, peeled and cubed 1 cup eggplant, cubed ¼ bell pepper, diced ½ small onion, diced ½ cup mushrooms, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1 large can diced tomatoes 1 can spaghetti sauce salt and pepper to taste Add enough water to fill soupmaker between min. and max. lines (1-2 cups). Before you begin: Place squash, zucchini, eggplant, pepper and onion into frying pan with butter/oil and sauté 3-5 minutes until onions are clear and squash starts to soften. Method: 1. Pour contents of frying pan, mushrooms, garlic, canned tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, salt and pepper into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Cover with water until the level sits between the min. and max. lines. 3. Replace lid on soupmaker and set the mode to Chunky (28 min). 4. Stir and Serve!

Into the soupmaker: 1 large can diced tomatoes (not drained) ½ can chopped green chilies (not drained) 1 tbsp. diced jalapeños ½ tsp. cayenne pepper 2 tsp. ground cumin 2 tsp. chili powder ½ cup chopped cilantro 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 can whole yellow kernel corn, drained 1 can black beans, drained 1 can dark red kidney beans, drained 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken (leftover rotisserie works well!) Add enough chicken stock to fill soupmaker between min. and max. lines (approx 3 cups). *Alternatively, you can use water and concentrated stock. Method: 1. Put tomatoes, chilies, jalapeños, cayenne pepper, ground cumin, chili powder, cilantro, garlic, corn, beans and chicken into your SmartLiving Soupmaker. 2. Pour chicken stock over top until soupmaker is filled to between min. and max. lines. 3. Stir with wooden spoon to evenly distribute spices. 4. Replace lid and set soupmaker to Chunky setting (28 min). 5. Stir and enjoy!
