LondonSouthbank Centre occupies a 17-acre site in the midst of Eye London’s most vibrant cultural quarter on the South Bank of Waterloo
the Thames. This includes Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room and Hayward Gallery. We also curate the outdoor spaces along the riverfront and around our venues. Waterloo We believe art has the power to help create a better world for Station everyone. It was this belief that led to our creation in 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain – a major exhibition and festival that gave the nation hope for a brighter future.
Today, millions of people gather at our events to enjoy culture from around the world. We put on over 5,000 concerts, gigs, exhibitions, shows and debates each year, half of them for free. We work with thousands of children and young people and some 6.2 million people attend our events, making us the UK’s seventh most popular visitor attraction.
