Women of the World festival Supported by Bloomberg

Our global WOW – Women of the World festival celebrates women and girls, and looks at the obstacles that stop them from achieving their potential. In the year that marks the 100th anniversary since some women got the vote in the UK, we bring together artists, writers, politicians, comedians, activists and more for the eight annual WOW London at Southbank Centre.

From Wednesday 7 until Sunday 11 March, we present an inspiring programme of talks and debates, concerts, performances, art installations, workshops and more. Buy a pass for a full day of events on Friday, Saturday or Sunday for £30, get a two-day pass for £55, or enjoy the full WOW experience with a three-day pass for £80.

Hear Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Reni Eddo-Lodge in conversation, as the two bestselling authors join forces to discuss race, gender, and feminism today in this special WOW event.

Maurizio Pollini is revered worldwide as today's towering elder statesman of the piano, praised for his peerless, supremely authoritative performances' (The Guardian). Hear him perform the music of Chopin and Schumann on his return to Royal Festival Hall.

Prepare to laugh in a raucous night of comedy and music influenced and performed by great women, hosted by Sandi Toksvig. She takes inspiration from pioneering women in this annual WOW highlight event.

Hayward Gallery reopened in January 2018 with the first major UK retrospective of the work of acclaimed German photographer Andreas Gursky, known for his large-scale portrayal of sites and scenes of the global economy.

Celebrate David Rodigan MBE’s 40 years in the industry as broadcaster and DJ as he joins forces with the critically acclaimed 25-piece Outlook Orchestra for a captivating one-off performance.

Come on a musical journey with Swedish pop sensation ABBA as they take over 1970s Britain in this one-of-a-kind exhibition, featuring nine immersive rooms exploring the music, lyrics and lives of one of the world’s most unforgettable bands.
