Six Chapters of Enlightenment Part One
Visions, Illusions and Delusions
The Judas Passion Can the ultimate betrayal ever be forgiven? Monday 25 September 2017 St John’s Smith Square Sally Beamish – The Judas Passion
Six Chapters of Enlightenment Part One Visions, Illusions and Delusions ‘I doubt, therefore I think, therefore I am.’ Can I trust my senses? Is what I perceive to be true really there? The philosophers of the era we now call the Enlightenment started with these radical doubts. So it’s where we start Six Chapters of Enlightenment, six special seasons exploring the thought that made the modern world. Join us for an adventure in uncertainty, scepticism and mistrust, through the music of Mozart, Bach, Handel and many more.
