What’s On
2020 Mini Marathon The 2020 Mini Marathon in aid of Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice will return to Royal Greenwich Park on Sunday 3 May. This 2.62-mile sponsored fun run is for children aged between 5 and 16 years old. Since 2013, more than 8,000 local heroes have taken part in the Hospice Mini Marathon and raised an incredible £398,000. The charity supports local families, making sure that they don’t have to face a terminal illness alone. They have helped families receive the support and care that they need and deserve at a very difficult time in their lives. There are only 1,800 Mini Marathon places available and the event has sold out in the recent years, so by signing up early you can guarantee that your child has a place. Competitors will need to arrive at 9.15am for a 9.45am warm up. The fun will begin at 10am. Children aged between 5 and 7 years old must run with a responsible adult. Registration costs £7.50 per child, which includes a medal and a JLL sponsored goody bag. Online registration will close at 4.30pm on 17 April. Registration will not be available on the day. For more information, visit www.communityhospice.org.uk.
