Located only meters away from a beautifully maintained Byzantine church built in 546 AD, Bujtina Maria is therefore a must-do whilst visiting the South of the country. Throughout their stay, guests will have the opportunity to discover the specific lifestyle of the southern region, exploring the surrounding mountains or lakes by horse or by foot, whilst crossing the way of traditional shepherds and diverse and preserved fauna. From Bujtina Maria, one will have the opportunity to stroll in the paved streets of old Gjirokastra, admiring a unique example of ottoman architecture, and visiting the imposing castle of the city, which played a huge role in the country’s ancient and recent history.

Kantina Pupa is located in the middle of a famous and beautiful wine producing region of the country and very close to the UNESCO heritage city of Berat. This brand new establishment offers spacious and comfortable rooms overlooking lovely rural landscapes, where most of the food offered in the restaurant originate from. The generous food offered in the restaurant may be paired with the delicious wines produced only a few kilometers away by the two owners. Following the dinner or as an “aperitivo” guests may visit the freshly built wine tasting facilities and discover the different wines produced exclusively from endemic varieties of grape. The nearby city of Berat, also known as the “the town of a thousand windows” due to its unique ottoman architecture and steapy topology, is a true wonder for tourists who find their rich history and lively atmosphere.
