SOUTHERN CROSS GROUP INDIA
Joseph Rajesh (GM India) initiated a training program focusing on teamwork to strengthen the professional relationship, promote greater understanding and effective communication between cross-functional departments. The staff were divided into three teams: Orange, Blue and Green and each team consisted of a minimum of 1 member from each department. The teams were given a specific task which required team coordination. The program was fun yet informative and motivated participants to be team players. The teamwork program encourages positive and productive team-working in the workplace. Special thanks to Joseph for initiating the program. Charles, the Training Team Leader participated in a three-day Business English Teacher Training Course conducted by the British Council from 19th June to 21st June 2017. The course mainly focused on understanding the metalanguage of Business English. Rayman the TL Marketing along with Charles the TL Training were invited to join the “The New Colombo plan” organised for a group of valued customers engaged with Australia’s Education, Research & Innovation sector by Austrade Chennai on 15th June 2017 at Taj. Around 100 participants from 30 reputable organisations took part in the event. SCG staff met with other guests, highlighting SCG services and business. This presented SCG with potential business and networking opportunities in the future for the Indian office. • SCG India successfully piloted Silver Star program, the brain

The staff enthusiastically participated in the event and the departmental heads interacted and collaborated well with one another to present the fact-file of each department. • The collective effort of the team leads, under the guidance of Mr. Joseph, ensured that all employees acquired the functional knowledge and operational nuances of SCG in its totality. • Besides, the inter-departmental interaction enabled us to understand the challenges faced by each department and encouraged us to appreciate each one’s contribution in the making of SCG. • The program was driven in 3 slots with 100% success rate. Kudos to Sindy –Training Administrator, who coordinated the program diligently.
