Village of East Troy MUNICIPAL CLERK
The Village of East Troy has a full-time opportunity for a Municipal Clerk. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, responsibilities outlined in Wis. State Statute 61.25, such as election administration, preparing agendas, meeting minutes, managing records, and issuance of licenses and permits. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, drafting policies/memos for boards and commissions, AP, AR, providing frontline customer service, and receipting payments. Some night hours are required for meetings and elections. This typically averages three to four nights per month. A full job description can be located at www.easttroywi.gov.
Educational requirements: an associate degree in accounting or business-related field, a minimum of three years office experience or commensurate combination of education and experience. Wisconsin Municipal Clerk Certification is preferred. However, the appropriate candidate may obtain certification in the first several years of employment. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to read and interpret state statutes and municipal ordinances, Microsoft Office proficiency, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
Starting salary $32.27-$35.04 per hour depending on qualifications. Position benefits include Wisconsin Retirement System, health/dental/life/disability/vision insurance, vacation time, sick time, and holiday pay.
