LeRoy-Ostrander School District, ISD 499, is seeking a full-time swimming pool manager, starting immediately.

This position oversees and ensures quality instructor in our swim lesson program as well as the supervision of aquatics staff during hours of operation and handles all safety and customer situations in a positive and professional manner. Paid/On-call Firefighter

The City of Austin is now accepting applications for paid, on-call firefighters. This role involves responding to emergencies as needed, providing fire protection and emergency assistance, performing fire prevention tasks, and maintaining fire department equipment and apparatus.

Minimum qualifications include: High school diploma or GED, valid state driver’s license and knowledge of driver safety and first aid.

Employment is contingent upon the satisfactory results of physical fitness testing and written examination, to be completed on Saturday, October 12, a physical examination and background investigation are completed following an offer of employment.

The City of Austin will provide the necessary training in the operation of fire suppression and other emergency equipment. Successful candidates must also be able to respond from their residence to the fire station within 11minutes.

Starting wage is $11.15/hr. then $20.00/hr. after initial training period. Also includes a retirement pension through the Relief Association (see website for additional information).

The required physical agility and written testing date is scheduled for Saturday, October 12 at 9:00 AM.

Attendance on this date is mandatory for candidates to be considered. Additionally, candidates have an opportunity to attend the physical agility practice session on Saturday, October 5.
