Skill Up Courses

Courses listed below are offered as part of the Skill Up programme and are completely FREE. This programme, funded by the Department for the Economy, supports the upskilling and reskilling of individuals to meet the needs of the economy. To be eligible to undertake one of these courses, applicants should be: Over 18 years of age; Eligible to work in Northern Ireland; Be settled in NI and have been ordinarily a resident in the UK for at least 3 years or have indefinite leave to enter or remain in the UK. Candidates are permitted to complete a maximum of two free courses at any one time. Please email skillup@src.ac.uk with any queries you may have.

Training Courses For Industry

Skills Focus: 90% Funding Available For SMEs

The Skills Focus programme is supported by the Department for the Economy (DfE) and offers 90% funding for selected non-mandatory training programmes. Employers pay the remaining 10% of course costs. Skiils Focus is open to private sector companies with under 250 employees or social enterprises. Organisations must operate for profit and not as a charity or community group. Support is available for accredited training at level 2 or above. Courses can be delivered on employer premises, on SRC campuses and/or blended or online learning. Courses can be set up for one employer depending on minimum numbers or as part of an employer cluster group. Enrolment is Easier than Ever!

Enrolling on a part-time course has never been simpler. Just visit our website, select your course, and click enrol –it’s that easy!

You can also enrol over the phone, or in person at any of our campuses. Evening in-person enrolment sessions are available between 17:00 and 19:00 on the dates shown.
