woke up Nov. 9 to someone pounding on my door. I reached for my bathrobe, and ran downstairs only to find Uncle Nunzi Tom Cardella holding my Daily News. He seemed agitated. “Oh, it’s you,â€? I said, rather ungraciously. “You were expecting Christine Flowers?â€? he replied. I really was not in the mood for Uncle rubbing my face in last night’s Trump victory. But Uncle was not a Trump fan, and that was not his purpose. I think he wanted to make sure I didn’t have any sharp implements around me. I half-expected he would force me to give him my belt as well. Beneath his breath, Uncle muttered, “The spaccone won.â€? 1][[c\Wbg ZWOWa]\ 0SbV 2]cUVS`bg O\R ^`W\QW^OZ /\R`Se :cY]d O`S SOUS` T]` bVS OcU[S\bObW]\a b] A]cbVeO`Y¸a This morning was no time for bacon aQV]]ZgO`R and eggs, so as Bob Dylan once sang, P h o t o b y Ti n a G a r c e a u “We started out on burgundy and soon hit the harder stuff.â€? ecause of the rapidity with which the world ushers change into the workforce, one can often feel as if he or she needs a ton of skills simply to remain relevant. Ask Ellie Mooney what she sees as the necessary key to keeping afloat, and she will gladly reply with “adaptability. Through Jan. 8, the versatile veteran of Philadelphia’s stage community is enjoying another cherished chance to show her fluidity by playing Miss Gulch and The Wicked Witch of the West for the Walnut Street Theatre’s “The Wizard of Oz production. “It’s just such a wonderful opportunity, the Queen Village resident said shortly after a flight scene rehearsal at the playhouse, which is enlisting the musical adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s timeless narrative as the second show

in its 208th anniversary season. “My interest and curiosity have been growing each day because not only is this a classic but also since it’s in the hands of wonderful people. When learning early last winter of the work’s placement among the theater’s upcoming offerings, Mooney thought about securing an ensemble presence, but the overseers desired a different use of her talent and cast her in the roles that Margaret Hamilton made famous in the 1939 cinematic masterpiece. Owing to eagerness to make any role a reflection of her regard for fraternizing with fellow performance buffs, she soared with enthusiasm in taking on the tasks, especially with respect to the broom-wielding antagonist. “I thought, ‘Yes, a new voice and a new laugh,’ Mooney recalled of her giddiness with the materials, which stretches back to her Bucks County-based childhood. “I really wanted to dig in and do my best to give life to a story that

will always have a special place in my heart. She showed off those novel components of her involvement with glee during the aforementioned run-through of the show that opened last night, drawing praise from peers when saying that helping Dorothy Gale to reach the titular wise man would serve as the Scarecrow’s “last burning ambition. Thrilled yet again to assist the Walnut Street Theatre, which has employed her nearly 20 times, including concurrent directing duties for “A Christmas Carol, she loves the trust with which the powers that be endow her to present projects that make exceptional use of her fascination with transformation. “I get to learn so much each time around because one thing informs another and constantly pushes me to give more of myself, the courter of captivating endeavors said. “This is always going to be my home. To put it lightly, I feel very, very useful here.

To the Editor: TRUMP WINS seemed to be missing on the front covers of all newspapers. Why is that? Is it because the media likes to add wood to the fire and play with people’s emotions? They like to stir things up and make more trouble? I am all for freedom of speech and for the right to protest. All of us have the right for our voice to be heard! Protest all you want in a calm, nonviolent manner. But stop feeding into the media’s propaganda. Throughout my life, a lot of candidates that I backed lost. I didn’t take off from work. I didn’t need therapy.

I didn’t ruin anyone’s private property. I mended my emotional wounds and moved on. Since May, the front of my house has been vandalized, egged, and burned, and offensive signs were left on my door. On the day of the election, I was spit on, screamed at, pushed, cursed, and kicked, and every sign I put up was ripped down! Why ? Where was my freedom of speech? Where was my voice? Where was my right to vote for whomever I choose? Let’s get it together, people. Let’s be strong and show the world just how great we are! God Bless and protect America and President-elect Trump. Emerging as one nation To the Editor: Thanks to Joseph Myers for his post election coverage of how South Philly voted (“Clinton Wins ... South Philly, Nov. 10). Obviously, the nation did the opposite. Let’s face reality. Any Democrat running in 2016 for president would have had a struggle, because too many see the present leadership as not addressing their problems. What Joe did not mention was a Catholic backlash against Clinton’s pro-abortion platform. That was one game changer, as was her poor word choice in describing half of Trump supporters as “deplorables. The FBI e-mail scandal did not help. Not to say that Trump is an angel, but he offered change and that was enough for many. Since Trump did not win an Electoral College landslide, and the popular vote did go to Clinton, the message voters are sending is mixed. They want, for example, to keep their health insurance without seeing the premiums rise. They want better paying jobs and access to quality education without seeing taxes go up. They want to see an end to terrorism. These are tall orders for any government. This election offers unique opportunities for both parties to work for a better country. Let’s pray that real progress emerges from all the recent turmoil. Gloria C. Endres South Philadelphia

that recently appeared in South Philadelphia. It is horrifying to see swastikas and other symbols of hate appear in our community, especially in the vibrant multicultural neighborhood where this occurred. We are thankful to local law enforcement officials for taking this incident very seriously and encourage anyone with information to come forward to help catch the perpetrator. We cannot help but note that this apparent hate crime in Philadelphia occurred on the anniversary of Kristallnacht or the Night of Broken Glass. This was one of the first large organized attacks on Jews living throughout Nazi Germany in 1938. The symmetry of these two dates raises chilling questions about the direction of our nation. We do not know if this is an isolated incident or part of a frightening national trend. However, it is clear to us that the troubling rhetoric used by some in the recent presidential election has emboldened individuals who identify with hate groups and white supremacist ideology. This behavior has no place in an open, inclusive, and just society. It must be strongly confronted at every possible opportunity by all people who support freedom, democracy and common decency. The Jewish Labor Committee was founded over 80 years ago to oppose the spread of fascism and Nazism. We stand ready today to join with like-minded people from all backgrounds who are disgusted by rising bigotry and intolerance. It is vital that people of good conscience stand together in solidarity at this critical moment, regardless of race, religion, nationality, or ethnic background. n Nov. 9, authorities reported to the 900 block of South Sixth Street to find cars and a home bearing racist and pro-Donald Trump graffiti, with surveillance footage capturing this image as the suspect fled in an unknown direction. The Philadelphia Police Department has not ruled out the possibility that the at-large individual also pulled off three more incidents the same morning. The first featured the pro-Nazi declaration “Sieg Heil 2016 and “Trump, with a swastika replacing the “T, on an empty store’s windows on the 1300 block of South Broad Street. “Trump and a swastika appeared on a utility box on Broad and Reed streets, too, with Fifth and Fitzwater streets also a target. The Uncle Oogie’s employee drove to the 1500 block of South Stanley Street at 5:40 p.m. Nov. 6 and met with the orderer, who said his money was in his home, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. A second male approached her vehicle, leading the driver to try to shut it off, but the first suspect snatched the food and tried to retreat to a residence. The complainant grabbed the fleeing figure, but he replied with punches and hair pulls and escaped into the home. She described the offenders as black, with the first being 17 to 22 years old and 5-foot-10 to 6 foot; having a dark complexion, a heavy build, and a short afro; and wearing a T-shirt and jeans; and the second as black, 17 to 22 years old, and 5-foot-10 to 6 foot; having a dark complexion and a thin build; and wearing a gray hoodie with white strings, and white and dark pajama pants over gray sweatpants. He and his accomplice took their their cell phones, $65, and identification and debit cards and fled toward 13th and Johnston streets. The victims described them as black, with the first being 20 to 25 years old and 6 foot; having a dark complexion, a thin build, and short black hair; and wearing a red hoodie, black jeans, and dark Nikes; and the second as 20 to 25 years old and 6 foot; having a long beard and a heavy build; and wearing a black hoodie and dark blue jeans. Police are looking for leads in a gentlemen’s club-situated shooting. At 3:23 a.m. Monday, authorities met with the complainant at Mercy Hospital, learning he had suffered an upper left leg gunshot wound outside Club Onyx, 2908 S. Martina White (R-170th dist.) sponsored House Bill 1787, which renames Academy Road, from Byberry Road to Nanton Drive, in memory of Goodwin. Goodwin, who resided in Parkwood, was working as a fire captain when he died in an April 2013 blaze at a Queen Village fabric store. promoted to battalion chief. In addition to his work in the fire department, he was president of the church council at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Kensington.

Goodwin’s family attended the ceremony. He is survived by, among others, his wife, Kelly; son Michael Jr.; and daughter, Dorothy Dunn. The Philadelphia Police and Fire Pipes and Drums performed Anchors Aweigh and other patriotic and military hymns to honor Goodwin, a U.S. Navy veteran. The Rev. eral wearing his Yankee cap with a smile that reminded you of the undead. Newt Gingrich, the crazy uncle that you were forced to invite every Sunday for dinner, as Secretary of State. Chris Christie as Secretary of Transportation manipulating traffic on I-95 every time he got peeved. Melania Trump as First Lady, Uncle added. “Well, maybe it’s not all bad, I remarked. Uncle hit me with the rolled up copy of my Daily News. But Uncle smiled because my weak joke meant that his stoonad of a nephew would probably survive after all. How did I feel, he wanted to know. I felt as if I were being forced to eat meatloaf during a chemotherapy treatment. “How’s that for imagery, I said. “You REALLY don’t like meatloaf, do you? Uncle replied as he poured what must’ve been his fifth glass of that murky amber substance he called wine. “This is really not getting us anyplace, I said. Uncle asked if maybe it weren’t wise to take a nice trip somewhere. I began singing “Leaving On A Jet Plane, the Peter, Paul and Mary version. Uncle reminded me that if I were thinking of going to Canada, they do make their own prosciutto there. Although he quickly added that it couldn’t compare to that which was imported from Parma. “That’s because they cure it with maple syrup, I said. I was feeling snarky, not gracious in defeat. Canada was probably contemplating building a wall to keep out the Democrats. I have this image of Donald Trump giving his inauguration speech, his orange hair blowing in the wind, while the crowd shouts, “Lock her up! The Obamas are seated nearby, Michelle contemplating her victory garden being replaced by slot machines, Barack with his head buried in a barf bag. Oh yes, the transition should really be something. When the Clinton staffers left the White House for George W. Bush and his family, they removed all the “Ws from the typewriters (yes, they had typewriters back then). I have a feeling that the Obama staff might hang photos of Mark Cuban on the walls of the Lincoln bedroom. As the new president, “The Donald, as

headline writers will likely refer to him, was going to have a few challenges ahead. He made so many promises about what he was going to do his first day in office that he wasn’t going to have time to go to the bathroom or discuss foreign affairs with Bobby Knight. The only question is just what will Trump do first? Rip up Obamacare? He can “liberate millions of Americans (many of whom no doubt voted for him) from having medical insurance. Those 26-year-olds currently covered by their parents’ insurance can feel the new breath of freedom, too. No more coverage. And insurance companies can be unshackled by government bureaucracy long enough to reinstate pre-existing conditions. (Trump thinking) Maybe I’ll first rip up the Iran Nuclear Treaty, the one that removed the threat of that country getting nuclear weapons in the next 15 years. I do have other choices on that first day. I can send out a notice that from now on NATO is obsolete or that our allies in Japan, Korea, and Germany should get their own nuclear bombs. But hey, what am I saying? The first order of business should be to build that big wall on the border and send Mexico the bill — “And don’t think you’re paying for it in pesos, my amigo. I don’t think I can make abortion illegal on that first day in office, but my Supreme Court appointments over the next four years can handle that for me. It might take me a week to renegotiate all our trade deals and shut down the flow of Chinese goods into this country. Hope that doesn’t close down Walmart. While I’m at it, I’ll impose a tax on egg rolls and wonton soup. So much to do. Promises to keep. Where did I put my secret plan to defeat ISIS? I need to save some time to spy on all those mosques. Memo to myself — I’ve got to get Putin’s phone number. Wow! I see that Vladimir’s already sent me roses. SPR

ecause of the rapidity with which the world ushers change into the workforce, one can often feel as if he or she needs a ton of skills simply to remain relevant.

B?<;IJOB;I MOONEY HAS ALWAYS relied on creative prospects to feel fruitful, with her parents proving quite instrumental, particularly through their owning musical recordings. Cello and ballet lessons offered additional outlets for the maturation of her inquisitive nature, with the latter’s storytelling components a treasure trove of perpetual blessings. “I’d definitely say this life is all I’ve ever wanted, Mooney said of being among the fortunate few who feel compelled early in life to pursue a passion, tabbing that classification as “delightful and torturous at the same time, the latter on account of the tireless dedication that a vocation always requires. “My journey has made me a graduate of the school of hard knocks, for sure, but I think having the discipline and the courage to become better is what has kept me going and wondering what I can get out of my finite existence. DeSales University gave the Doylestown product an initial reply to her musings, and she eventually contemplated transferring to Temple University to further her voice mastery. Interestingly, given her present assignment at the Walnut Street Theatre,

she passed on that idea and instead gained her first exposure to the country at large as Dorothy on a nearly year-long Oz tour. “There are not many paths in life where you can just be unto yourself, Mooney said. “There is so much to learn about yourself from getting another perspective, and that’s what this line of work gives me every single day. You have to be willing to adapt for true growth to occur. A visit to the artist’s website reveals that she has indeed thrived as a mutable hire, amassing enough credits and considerations, including as a choreographer and a teacher, to merit the creation of three resumes. Inspections of them offer great insights into her willingness to navigate the sea of new works and the ever-inviting ocean of established works, with “The Wizard of Oz as a beloved entry in the latter canon. “It was always on around this time of year, and we loved watching it, she said of viewing the film with her mother, who grew up at 18th Street and Oregon Avenue and whose parents initiated Mooney’s knowledge of South Philly, including

atre productions will enlist her. Dubbed “a tiny blonde with a big voice, swift feet and all kinds of energy by a Denver-based reviewer, she looks forward to continuing to give local audiences intense performances bred out of love for their desire to be entertained and her enthusiasm for being a conduit for quality scripts to resonate. “There’s so much to love about being in this field, she said. “What’s really great is that the learning process never stops. You’ll never feel as if you’ve run out of curiosity. A>@ 3dS\b( BVS EWhO`R ]T =h 2ObS( BV`]cUV 8O\ & dO`W]ca bW[Sa EVS`S( EOZ\cb Ab`SSb BVSOb`S & # EOZ\cb Ab BWQYSba( '# 1]\bOQb W\T]( # #%" !## ]` eOZ\cbab`SSbbVSOb`S ]`U Contact Staff Writer Joseph Myers at jmyers@ southphillyreview.com. through frequent stops at Barry Playground. “I always had admiration for Judy Garland and how she pulled off the role with such emotional depth. I think that’s something that people overlook when thinking about the text, but there’s some really impressive weight to the plot. Like Garland’s Gale, a Kansas adolescent who proclaims “there’s no place like home following her trip over the rainbow, she values the joys of being close to kith and kin, with that yearning for constant connection keeping her an East Coast resident, with Philadelphia as her five-year source of satisfaction. “It’s such a wonderful place to interact with creative geniuses and to test your own tenacity, Mooney, who also helps to open the gateway to stage-situated glory as an audition technique teacher, said. “I’ve had enough experience with failure to know you have to keep persisting and being your biggest advocate, but here, in this city, you’re going to find a bunch of people who will root for you, too. As Mooney manages her ever-busy fall schedule, she is already considering next year, when two more Walnut Street The-

Theresa’s Crab Meatballs

Life is brew-tiful

I

f fowl is not your fancy when considering what might adorn the Thanksgiving table, you certainly should not feel that you lack replacement ideas, especially if you choose to have a ball with this offering from Theresa Strati. The Lower Moyamensing resident goes aquatic with this week’s submission, noting the many possible complementary items, such as homemade marinara sauce, pasta, crispy Italian bread, and a salad, that could make your spherical treats even more tempting. Nobody will be crabby when their wonderful aroma wafts through your home.

INGREDIENTS:

A

s part of its weekly free tasting events, Newbold Brew, 1900 S. 15th St., will welcome the Emmausbased Shangy’s from 5 to 7 p.m. tomorrow. Patrons will be able to enjoy libations such as Smuttynose’s Peach Short Weisse, Southern Tier’s Tangier, and Jack’s Leisure Time. Call 215-3395177, or visit newboldbrew.com. SPR

Combine the crabmeat, egg, parsley, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix by hand, adding more breadcrumbs if needed. Shape into balls the size of your preference, and refrigerate for one hour. Heat the butter in a large, non-stick frying pan, doing one turn of the pan with the oil. Once it begins to sizzle, fry the meatballs until golden brown (do not crowd them in the pan.) Serves four. SPR

Proven Classics Western PA’s Straub Brewery rediscovers its German roots.

e’ve seen this before: An old-line beer company, trying to catch up with the craft beer trend, suddenly rediscovers its recipe book and comes out with a long, lost style with more character, more flavor than its all-toofamiliar flagship brand. Stegmaier, known for plain ol’ lager, bottled a hoppy imperial IPA. Yuengling, which had brewed all its beers with the same house yeast it had used for years, suddenly began making a Summer Wheat hefeweizen with a new Bavarian yeast. And, most notably, Ballantine—a generic Pabstowned industrial brew—brought back its famously strong Burton Ale from the grave. This time it’s tiny Straub Brewery from St. Marys in western Pennsylvania that’s notching things up, with a new fall variety case containing 1872 Lager, Helles, Dunkel and Doppelbock. Granted, we’re not exactly talking about sour pumpkin coffee stout with these new styles. But then again, Straub has never been known as a particularly adventuresome brewery. Founded in 1872, it’s just one of 18 pre-Prohibition American breweries still operating, and one of only four (along with Yuengling, Schell and Matt) under its original family ownership. Until about 10 years ago, it made only two beers: a lager and a light lager, both decent, fresh and—to the craft beer drinker’s palate—unremarkable. Back then, company sales reps told me that making anything different could endanger Straub’s well-deserved reputation for tradition. And, yet, they conceded that—against so much hype surrounding competitors’ ever-changing portfolios—a long history counted for little when it came to sales. As good as its lager may taste, you don’t see very many Straub tap handles outside of Trump Country west of the Alleghenies. So out of necessity, change at Straub has been coming slowly if unsteadily. Its first new bottled beer, a Special Dark launched in 2007, lasted all of five years. Then, in 2013, it shook things up with IPL, an India pale lager that tried to grab onto the bitter coattails of the

De h[i[hlWj_edi h[gk_h[Z soaring IPA trend. It gained enough traction among customers that Straub made it one of its flagship brands. Since then, the company has played its cards tight to the vest, slowly developing new brands that stick to well-established German styles: a pilsner, a maibock, a Vienna lager, then—paydirt!—a refreshing, light-bodied kolsch that won a surprising bronze medal at the World Beer Cup awards held in Philadelphia last spring. It’s true, other than IPL, these are conventional styles. No imperial this or session that. Nothing sour or fruity. But this is not about teaching an old dog new tricks. Instead, it’s about an old brewery re-discovering and capitalizing on its German roots. All four of the styles in Straub’s new autumn Legacy Sampler case lean toward the sweet, malty end of the flavor spectrum. The Helles and 1872 Lager are quite mild and finish clean; the Doppelbock is hearty in the style of, say, Paulaner Salvator, without the pronounced roasted bitterness of, say, TrÜegs TrÜgenator. It’s the Dunkel, though, that’s the real gem in this box. Dark and handsome, it smells like morning toast and drains down the throat with a smooth caress. It is simple. It won’t rock your world. Yet you will find yourself going back for a second, a third, a fourth... And somewhere between glasses you may pause and reflect: After all these years, it’s about time that—instead of an old brewery trying to catch up with the latest trend—it’s the craft enthusiasts’ turn to catch up with

acing a case of career burnout about five years ago, Holly Ricciardi chose to chomp on a novel pursuit, taking a hiatus from graphic design endeavors to attend The Art Institute of Philadelphia. Never intending to let the culinary curriculum prove the inspiration for starting a new vocation, she soon felt compelled to consider the benefits of being bold and has since won over South of South residents and guests as the overseer of Magpie Artisan Pies. “When my year of schooling was done, I wanted to see what could come of my education, and I recall reading an article by a writer in California, and, in it, he said pies would be the next big thing to replace cupcakes,â€? the Drexel Hill resident said. “‘Pie,’ I thought, ‘Who thinks about pie’? DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 400 degrees with a rack in the center. On a floured surface, roll the dough to form a 13-inch circle, and fit the result into a 9-inch pie plate. Flute the edges, and chill. In a large bowl, whisk the corn syrup and brown sugar together until smooth. Whisk in the melted butter, and add the eggs one at a time, beating until they form a smooth, foamy mixture. Add the espresso powder, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt, and whisk together until the mixture is smooth and combined. Layer the pecan halves and the chocolate on the bottom of the crust. Pour the filling over the pecans and the chocolate. Bake the pie for 15 minutes. Lower the oven temperature to 350, and bake for another 22 to 25 minutes or until the pie has puffed (the middle and the edges should be fairly evenly puffed), is beautifully browned, and no longer jiggles when gently shaken. All-Catholic designation and co-MVP status in the Blue Division his senior year helped to prove the University of North Carolina wise in having offered

him a scholarship, and he ventured to the Tar Heel State with aspirations of enhancing its classification as an elite program. “I’ve always been someone who wants to contribute and inspire, and going to such a reputable school really taught me so much more about the qualities that you need to have if you want to excel, he said. “I’m a better player and person for having gone there. Zolk thrived as a UNC roster member, with his determination leading to his freshman christening as the starting second sacker. Tallying a .293 batting average and a .981 fielding percentage, he also won the chance to regale supporters with tales of the team’s triumphs, as the Tar Heels’ 2013 unit will live forever in the program’s annals by having gone 59-8, capturing the Atlantic Coast Conference’s regular season and tournament championships, earning the top seed for the NCAA Tournament, and advancing to the College World Series in Omaha in registering that mark. Mike “Zoom Zolk experienced such astonishment and anticipation Nov. 2, landing the varsity baseball head coach position at Ss. Neumann-Goretti High School, the institution that he helped to lead to the 2011 Catholic League championship as a star second baseman. “I did have a moment recently where I said ‘Did I really just become the coach at Neumann-Goretti’? the 23-year-old said of his looming return to South Philly. “Being able to shape players and give them guidance is definitely a job that I want, so I’m prepared for everything; it’s go time. The Northeast Philly resident expressed interest in becoming affiliated with the East Passyunk Crossing-based school again right after the summer resignation of Kevin Schneider, who will helm the program at Immaculata University. As he and his father, Mike “Big Zoom Zolk, become fully immersed in their duties as owners of Sluggersville Philadelphia, the younger entrepreneur felt now would prove the perfect occasion to intensity outreach to youngsters. “I think Neumann-Goretti is the best opportunity for me as I’m getting in the swing of things, Zolk said shortly before heading to Sluggersville, the city’s first premier yearround indoor baseball and softball training site, which he and his patriarch purchased in January. “It’s such a great environment and always fields a great group of dedicated guys. I expect a really fun run. In overseeing the Saints, Zolk will be inheriting the task of continuing a dynasty that has yielded five league titles in the last eight seasons, including the aforementioned ’11 team and the ’12 squad that his father coached. No matter the personnel, the local athletes always find themselves in the championship hunt, and, given their elder’s

dinator Scott Jackson, who accepted a July offer to lead Liberty University’s team, had on his maturation and looks forward to advancing the mentor’s emphasis on “big boy baseball at Sluggersville, where he is the director of baseball, and at NeumannGoretti. “It’s all about developing players right away and seeing that they feel and are emotionally, mentally, and, of course, physically prepared, he said first of how his philosophy will benefit the travelers to the Northeast spot, which is undergoing an expansion that will take its size to 36,000 square feet, including a full infield and 10 batting cages; assists nine teams; and has established great connections with baseball beacons, including Phillies’ first base coach Mickey Morandini, with whom he will host an All Skills Camp Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and 14; and how it will inspire the Saints to march past their foes. “As we prepare to have everything done there, which I hope will be by January, I’m eager to think more about how to encourage the NeumannGoretti kids even more, too. Along with their merit as parochial powerhouses, the Saints will also be defending City and State titles, and Zolk expects for them to have chips on their shoulders when naysayers make their annual forecast that the end is near for their impressive run. Messina, an element of all five league victories, noted “His hire is going to pay dividends, as we are receiving great response from grade school kids who know of his reputation and want to play for a proven winner. With such esteem and rampant expectations, Zolk vowed not to let a minute go to waste in continuing to mold the Saints as dominators of the diamond. “It’s going to be a young team, but that’s what’s going to make our success even more admirable, he said. “We want to grow, and we want to win. I wouldn’t have gone after the job if I thought otherwise. SPR
