ou will notice this week’s issue has a slightly different look to it. The regular news stories have been put on hold for an applause-worthy occasion: Recognizing 20 cover-deserving youngsters who have stood out among their peers in the eyes of their teachers or academic advisors during the recently or soon-to-be completed school year. Once the nomination period came to a close, this group made the final cut, earning the much deserved title of Rising Star. This community outreach endeavor, which is now in its second cycle, is the South Philadelphia Review’s way of honoring the potential next generation of leaders. We could be looking at the future ambassadors, doctors, lawyers, business owners or even the creator of .... . Right
now, they are simply goals and dreams. If it works out, great. If it does not, the door remains open on endless other possibilities, as the “retirement word is a Star Trek generation away. Many of this year’s recipients can aspire about going to UCLA or Harvard, without having to worry about the dreaded application process. Others will soon be packing their bags and checking into the campus life. Just like college, there is an application process to the Rising Stars. Perspective nominees must reside or attend school in the neighborhood. From there, it was all about what makes these elementary to high school contenders stand out. What is the reason(s) for nominating the student? What academic achievements has this

student achieved? Has this student overcome any personal hardships during the past year? What does this student hope to be when he/she grows up? This is just a small sampling of the talent search criteria. The great thing about this issue is the spotlight is on the Rising Stars. No matter how these future stories unfold, this issue can serve as a lifetime memento of the day they made headlines. For some, this may be the first of many future appearances in the South Philly Review, as we could be looking at a future lifestyles or sports profile subject. Others may call several years down the road with a front-page worthy story. Could they go from Rising Star to Difference Maker — our special fall tribute honoring community leaders? Absolutely. Let’s call this the starting point of potentially bigger stories to come. For those with college plans in the very near future, best of luck. Feel free to check in with updates on what’s new and exciting. For others wondering about earning a Rising Star distinction of their own in the not-too-distant-future, continue making your respective marks, as a fresh batch of honorees will shine on the cover in 2016. For now, there is a current group worthy of your attention, and they can be found starting on page 8. SPR

2WUWbOZ RWa[Og Police arrested a Lower Moyamensing resident for allegedly attacking a man with a machete. Law enforcement officials responded to a person-with-a-weapon call on the 1200 block of Daly Street at 6:29 a.m. May 29 and observed a large amount of blood in front of a residence, a broken machete on the highway and the complainant walking westbound on Daly Street toward 13th Street with blood pouring from his head, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. A witness gave them two fingers, indicated they belonged to the victim and pointed to the house where the supposed offender fled. They knocked on the door of 58-year-old Thomas Vogel and arrested the supposedly blood-soaked inhabitant after identification from the victim. The figure told them he had confronted the alleged criminal about a vandalism that occurred on the
block and that involved the complainant’s vehicle. Vogel reportedly retrieved the machete and swung it at the man, who sustained a laceration on the left side of his head and parted with two fingers from his left hand. Authorities charged Vogel with simple and aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime, attempted murder in the first degree and recklessly endangering another person. He had not posted his $250,000 bail as of press time and awaits a June 18 preliminary hearing.

Having a passion for ice hockey, Jeremy not only works at Rizzo Rink, but played for Roman throughout his high school career. He does admit that it has been challenging to keep up with his studies balancing school, a part-time job and hockey, but he knows right away that when he is challenged by a course, to seek assistance from his teachers and peers. Lutz is an active volunteer in Roman’s chapter of the Jr. AOH and ASSIST program, which visit elderly alumni from Roman Catholic. He is a camp counselor during the summer months, and a sexton at his church on the weekends. A busy young man, Lutz admires his mother’s sacrifices to send him to Catholic school. Amber’s honors geometry teacher, Anup Somalwar says that “a trait I’ve always admired about Amber is that she will always assist her peers in any way possible, tutoring them during class or advisory, so they too can be successful with the material and that she “is a shining star in terms of her behavior, respect for peers, adults, and regularly maintains an overall professional and positive demeanor. She truly brings a smile to the people she meets and interacts with on a daily basis.

Travis, 12, also exhibited his love for books as he surpassed his classroom reading challenge by reading more than 60 books. Not believing that knowledge or the love for books should be limited to his self, he make strides to show the other children in his sixth-grade classroom books he had read to ignite their potential love of reading. “It has definitely been a pleasure to have Travis in my classroom this year because he is not only a true gentleman, but intelligent and hard working in everything he does, This GW Childs seventh grader, who resides on the 1300 block of South 17th Street, has only missed one day of school — earning exemplary attendance awards in the process. Time off is not in this honor roll student’s vocabulary, as she volunteers at Neighbors Invested in Childs Elementary and Newbold neighborhood cleanups as well as the Comcast Care Day at Childs. Judy strives to be the best possible student she can, and in the process, helps classmates preserve their memories of their time together by serving on the yearbook committee. Her caring nature is portrayed in her love for animals, as she would like to pursue a career where she could work to ensure their safety and care. Although still young, Judy is giving very early

f her first two years at NeumannGoretti High School are any indication, Destinee Thomas has a couple of very busy years ahead. The Delaware County resident, who is an honor student, has served as the Student Council sophomore class president. Not only has she fulfilled all the requirements of her position, but she went above and beyond thanking her classmates for allowing her to serve them by making care packages that included soft pretzels, Hershey Kisses and a laminated prayer card, a ll while coping with her mother being diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. But the commitment expands beyond the school hallways as Destinee represented her school at the Columbus Day Parade, became the Hugh O’Brian Pennsylvania East Leadership Ambassador and spoke at local schools about attending Neumann-Goretti. Her sports rĂŠsumĂŠ is equally impressive, serving as the Saints girls’ volleyball team captain. Destinee also turned in eye-catching performance in track where she recently was crowned the Catholic League Southern Division champion in the 100-meter hurdles. At the league championship event, she added a secondplace finish in the 60-meter hurdles. Believe it not, this young star accomplished all this after being diagnosed with extreme anemia. “I was always tired and weak, not understanding why,â€? Destinee recalled. “My athletic ability was severely affected. I was not running times that I knew I was capable of.â€? Comment at southphillyreview.com/news/ features.

o matter his location, be it California, Mexico or Pennsylvania, with the last six years as a South Philly inhabitant, Chris Davis has proven a prolific thinker who believes seeking solutions to mammoth mysteries can reduce the strength of figurative darkness. Through Saturday, the 33-year-old is analyzing attempts to vanquish the literal version with “Bortle 8, a one-man show that he commences at sunset on the roof of his 1600-blockof-South-Fourth-Street residence. “It seems we never want to be without illumination, and that’s great if we’re talking about wanting knowledge, the Dickinson Square West dweller said. “However, what is it to lose our connection with actual darkness because of our obsession with lights, especially the artificial sort? A release from the inquisitive individual,
whose 55-minute examination takes its title from astronomer John E. Bortle, creator of an eponymous scale to quantify the darkness of the night sky, states the work “goes from the depths of the ocean to the night sky in the hopes of finding the last untouched place on Earth. That provocative premise couples with the frequent failure by many to understand themselves and their circumstances to form an award-winning message, with May’s Pittsburgh Fringe endowing the piece with the Gold Crow Award. “We can shine lights on visible objects, but what about the darkness that people carry within themselves? he asked. “There’s no light to see this, and it’s important to examine how difficult it can be to connect with ourselves. Loss lies at the heart of that confusion, and Davis, who, having enlisted Mary Tuomanen
B?<;IJOB;I to direct the brainchild for last year’s SoLow Festival, is again teaming with the fellow South Philadelphian, contends that “Bortle 8 can offer therapeutic assistance to viewers. In that sense, the evening experiment provides an emotional release to all involved, with its generator particularly thrilled to incite introspection. “Maybe I can help them to push themselves in the right direction, Davis stated. “They’re watching me but I want them to concentrate on themselves. That’s why I do this show. Admirably philosophical, he added that theater stands as one of the benefactors of those with deep-seated doubts and desires to derive greater meaning from seemingly mundane, even boring activities. “Lately, I’ve been focusing on the concept of saying ‘Yes’ and understanding its rewards, Davis revealed. “That helps people to open new doors, be fulfilled and remain busy. I’m trying to keep myself aligned with that thinking, and I definitely see ‘Bortle 8’ as a motivator for me in realizing the communal and individual benefits of the theater world. ing sage has bred “a lot of erasing for the Oakland native. Latchkey kid status fostered many opportunities to write, with Davis coming to count literary lions such as magical realism pioneer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Frank Kafka, Jack Kerouac, Alexander Pushkin and Leo Tolstoy as inspirations. “I’ve always gravitated toward material with strong narratives and great characters, he said of his enthusiasm for regarding writing as empowering. “Making your own stuff stand out can take time, but you have to keep a healthy sense of self-criticism to keep plugging away and realizing that what you have within you is worth hearing. I’ve become accepting of the need to kill my baby, so to speak, to improve the message and the lasting effect. It’s not always the preferred way for most people, but I think it’s greatly helped my output. Davis deemed writing his vocation as a Bucks County-based high schooler and discovered theater as an Albright College registrant. The Reading-situated institution proved highly informative and inspired acting aspirations that combined with his original infatuation to make his
stint at the National Theater Institute a dynamic delight. “It really taught me not to dally or belabor anything, he said of the Connecticut facility. “If we learned we had limited time to put something together, we had to have the discipline to do it. That’s been extremely helpful in the real world. Following three years in Mexico, the setting of “Drunk Lion, another renowned Tuomanen-directed piece that has enjoyed productions in four states and Scotland, Davis moved to South Philly and has fallen for its creatively crowded communities. Along with prominent peers, the city has begun to provide more acceptance to his ideas, and he values that the turf has evolved into a playground for his active brain. “I initially wondered what the hell I was going to do here, he confessed. “Nothing was really going anywhere, but some stuff has caught on, and I want to stick with this life here. Much like lights that look to negate nightfall, success and satisfaction can prove fleeting in effect, so Davis advocates for never settling for suitable answers to pressing questions, believing that
the highest form of honesty is the selfgenerated brand. Regardless of his duties, including coordinator chores for SoLow and playwright-in-residence distinction for Plays & Players Theatre, he knows chances for change abound and that people should strive to make something extraordinary out of something tedious. His favorite writers have succeeded in doing so and though he certainly possesses original ideas, many of which he hopes to capture in penning the Great American Novel, he definitely knows he must never slack on gratitude. “We often wonder what people will remember about us, Davis, who will take “Bortle 8 to the Maine-headquartered PortFringe; the District of Columbiabased Capital Fringe; and Edinburgh Festival Fringe by the end of August, said. “What we shouldn’t forget is how inspirational we can be to each other. Artie, the tall guy with the dirty blonde hair — the hair an amazing tangle of curls piled high upon his head — hair that songwriter Leonard Cohen would’ve described as “a sleepy golden storm. Artie made Paul’s poems come to life, his voice could send chills down your spine when he hit the high notes in “Bridge Over Troubled Water, his voice almost like a religious experience. It was during those early days of Simon & Garfunkel that by chance I met Valeria. My friend Barry and I were eating lunch in a dingy workplace cafeteria in South Philadelphia when Valeria casually walked over and sat down at our table. Barry worked with her. Thereafter she was a regular lunchtime visitor. You’ve heard the expression that some people can light up a room when they enter? That was Valeria. Describing her is as difficult as trying to describe a form of energy. Even now, years later, I remember her less for her physical appearance than her vivacious presence. She was 10 years younger than both of us in chronological years and light years ahead of us in being a descriptive force of the new generation. Valeria could read a cookbook out loud and you would believe that she was flirting with you. Both Barry and I were already happily married, and though that didn’t make us immune to Valeria’s charms, we knew Valeria was not serious anyway. Valeria’s real love interest was Garfunkel. If you want to describe a magnificent obsession, it was Valeria’s interest in Art. It was more than a musical interest. Garfunkel was her passion. Not that she had ever met Art, but meeting him was the goal in her life. I think she would have been satisfied just to run her fingers through his curly locks and hear him sing to her or maybe not. And then one day, Valeria announced that somehow she had gotten hold of the New York address of Garfunkel’s apartment. One of Simon and Garfunkel’s most touching songs is “Old Friends. The meaning of the song has changed for me now that I have passed the age of the people about whom they were singing. I am especially touched when Simon sings, “How terribly strange to be 70. It is especially ironic now that Artie and Paul have passed the age of 70, they are no longer “old friends. And I guess, I find that especially strange for two performers whose names have been synonymous for so many years. As for Valeria, I never did find out whether she ever got to meet Artie. Was the address real or just a fiction of some fan magazine? If she found him, lucky Artie. Sometimes I think of Valeria. I hope she didn’t flame out like so many other beautiful people of that era. SPR
rt Garfunkel was recently quoted in a Huffington Post interview that he and Paul Simon are no longer close. Seemingly ego problems. In describing his relationship with his onetime partner and close friend, Garfunkel said, “I may have created a monster. It is not unusual in the history of showbiz partnerships for them to end acrimoniously. Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis split and no longer spoke for years until they finally mended fences before Dean died. Ditto Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. Certainly, Simon has had a marvelous career as a solo performer and great songwriter. Garfunkel somewhat less so, but his voice still soars into the range only angels inhabit, even today after a period when he lost his voice. According to Garfunkel, one of the things that really peeved Simon was Art’s solo performance of “Bridge Over Troubled Water. Simon believed that because Garfunkel was out front singing that song solo, fans mistakenly thought Art wrote the song instead of Paul. I was entranced by Simon & Garfunkel from the first time I heard them sing “The Sound of Silence on their initial recording in 1966. Oddly, the duo subsequently modified the song title to “Sounds Of Silence, also the title of their second album. Simon & Garfunkel’s music famously was on the soundtrack of the great Dustin Hoffman-Anne Bancroft film, “The Graduate. Both the film and the music of Simon & Garfunkel spoke eloquently about the hopes and fears of the Vietnam War generation that marked the late ’60s and early ’70s. The first time my wife Fran and I saw them both perform was at the Palestra in a benefit concert for the then-Democratic Presidential candidate Eugene McCarthy in 1968. It was a time when in our idealism we thought we could end the concept of war through music. We would see Simon & Garfunkel perform many times after that, but the ’68 concert symbolized how much they meant personally to us, and how they spoke to our times. One time, we saw them perform at the old Convention Hall, a night made memorable to me when Simon had to ask a particularly loud usher in our section to lower his voice. I used to think of Artie and Paul as inseparable, two kids shooting baskets in the schoolyard, I guess with Julio. Two kids with sneakers Comment at southphillyreview.com/opinion/ and jeans. New York City kids. Friends forever cardella.

’unk Burger, 1823 E. Passyunk Ave., recently sold its 10,000th organic hamburger and is marking that figure by adding the big fat Greek and jalapeno burgers at least through the end of June. The site is also introducing a seared ahi tuna and seaweed salad, a blueberry cardamon pie shake, a vegan pulled portobello sandwich and a reanimator red eye milkshake, with the last two items becoming permanent options. ipping sauces, as one knows, come in a wide array of flavors and style to add that certain taste or texture to a seemingly plain finger food. Stacey Gargano-Minniti decided to give the community a chance to try her version of a classic condiment to give locals that extra excitement they are craving. The Packer Park resident’s pickle dip recipe offers a delicious anytime-is-good treat with ingredients that people might even be tempted to grow themselves just to enhance the flavor and goodness. Not only is recreating this recipe a breeze, children who are eager to be kitchen helpers can partake in this engaging activity. Who said convincing youths to eat their vegetables is an exercise in futility? Now, where are the chips? They’re vegetables, too, after all. SPR

everal weeks ago, I went to brunch hoping for a homemade bagel with nova and cream cheese. Unfortunately, the restaurant stopped baking bagels, but my substitute brunch was delicious. Finding an authentic bagel can be difficult in the city. Spread Bagelry, near Rittenhouse Square, has been baking Montreal-style bagels for a number of years. A bit of honey is added to the yeast dough before they are formed, boiled and baked. Bless the Internet. I did some culinary sleuthing and discovered chef Mitch Prensky and his wife Jen of Supper, bake all their breads, including bagels. I reviewed dinner at Supper more than seven years ago, and it was one of the finest meals I had all year. This time around, I wanted Sunday brunch. I hoped the staff would recreate the tasty breakfast I looked forward to all week when I was growing up. A smoked salmon tutorial is necessary here. Salmon can be cold or hot smoked, or it can be cured like gravlax. The latter is simply two sides of salmon that are generously rubbed with salt and sugar, placed in a dish, and left to “cook in the refrigerator for about three days. It is often covered with long fronds of fragrant fresh dill. It is then washed of its salt and sugar, patted dry and thinly-sliced on the bias. One can also smoke trout and bluefish, but I hungered for salmon. Sure enough, I found it on a glorious Sunday afternoon at Supper. Although Supper has been described by its husband and wife owners as American, it has a brilliant Mediterranean air about it. The room is bathed in brilliant sunlight. Warm yellows and oranges are the colors of choice. The simple tables and chairs are dark wood set with cloth napkins and simple, yet pretty white china. We sipped strong black coffee as we discussed the menu. I did not even have to look. I knew what I wanted. Mitch’s New York Brunch ($19) took me straight back to my childhood. The bakers bake plain bagels and everything bagels. The latter is a rather new version of the classic. They did not exist when I was a girl. The everything bagel is topped with poppy and sesame seeds, a little salt, onion and garlic.

It was not Wonder Bread with a hole in the middle. This bagel, which was lightly toasted, was brown and crusty outside, nice and chewy inside. A schmear of homemade cream cheese was placed on the side plate. A rustic board contained everything one needs for the classic bagel experience. There must have been at least six to eight ounces of top quality house cured and smoked salmon that was so thinly and perfectly sliced, someone could read a newspaper through it. Round of sweet red onion, sliced tomatoes, sliced English cucumbers and a small handful of salty capers were included on the board. I made my way slowly savoring every morsel of my brunch. We also sampled the smoked turkey club sandwich ($14) because the classic club is one of my favorites. The breast of turkey is smoked and roasted in house. It was piled high on homemade Texas toast and included slices of smoked bacon, pickled green tomatoes, iceberg lettuce and homemade sage mayonnaise. The club sandwich, like the classic hoagie, must include iceberg lettuce. It needs the cool crunch. Service was excellent. Our server answered our questions and filled our coffee cups throughout our meal. The bagel and smoked salmon platter has sent me on a mission. I want to find restaurants and delis that offer real bagels and top quality smoked salmon. I just hope they will be as fine as the platter I savored at Supper. Four tips of the toque to Supper. +(* ^^ Ac^^S`

he Fifth Annual Burger Brawl — it sounds like a food fight is about to break out. Well, no need to call in authority figures as Sunday’s 3-to-6 p.m. competition at Xfinity Live!, 1100 Pattison Ave., is guaranteed to be some friendly fun for a good cause. What began as a neighborhood fundraiser at the Fleisher Art Memorial, 719 Catharine St., has blossomed into a event that draws more than 50 restaurants and a gathering of thousands — a crowd of 5,000 is anticipated this year. Justin Swain, the chef at Rex 1516, 1516 South St., is returning for his third Burger Brawl, which funds literacy programming through technology for Philadelphia’s underserved children in our public elementary schools. “I absolutely loved the first year, he said of being one of “the brawlers. “It’s a nice way to get out of the kitchen and spend some time with customers. When it moved to Xfinity Live! last year, there was a lot more people and exposure. Swain is not just another competitor, he is the defending Battle of the Burger champion. He is returning to battle with the same sandwich that earned him high praise the last time around — his pimento burger. This beefy number includes crispy bacon and red onion along with bibb lettuce. The pimento cheese is the topper. This was one of those play-around-withthe-ingredients creations. “We were changing around the menu, and I wanted to do a burger that was iconic for us, the resident of Fifth and South streets said. After doing a little researching, Swain unveiled his juicy item to his customers. “It turned out pretty good, and has been on the menu ever since, Swain said. Speaking on menus, he and his team recently rolled out a fresh batch of summer

offerings that have a “summer cookout vibe. It includes the return of the popular crawfish pan roast, which includes crawfish, shrimp, clams, corn and Andouille. The Memphis barbecue pulled pork platter and the new smoked tri-tip toast with ricotta, horseradish, pickled onion and sourdough are a couple of the other highlights. “If you are looking for someone to do your summer cooking for you, this is a great place to come, Swain said. Of course, for those looking to try one of the chef’s creations at home, he is offering up his Alabama White Sauce recipe, which he serves with the pictured fried green tomatoes. “It works to perfection with that dish, he said. “The creaminess goes well with dill pickles and chicken. But leading up to Sunday’s big event (see page 18 for ticket information), the focus will be on the beef, as the other brawlers are hungry for that victory that this Southof-South-based competitor has previously sampled.

arius Isaac knows the thrill of playing on amazing fields, especially through participating in the Anderson Monarchs Baseball Club’s 2012 barnstorming tour, so when he set foot on the Phillies MLB Urban Youth Academy space, 20th Street and Pattison Avenue, June 4, his reaction reflected gratitude akin to what he has so often felt when preparing to perform. “It’s a wonderful place for us to have fun and learn more about this game and ourselves, the resident of the 1200 block of South 22nd Street said following an afternoon ceremony to christen the site. “I just learned about this event yesterday, so the excitement is pretty fresh. The Point Breeze dweller and peers from the Phillies Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities and All-Star teams become the beneficiaries of Major League Baseball’s fifth urban youth academy and initial East Coast-situated venue. Years in the making, the $1.8-million brainchild will have a $2.5-million complement at the Marian Anderson Recreation Center, 740 S. 17th St., making Philadelphia the lone location to have both amenities through the professional overseer. “This is a momentous day, MLB Senior Vice President for Youth Programs Tony Reagins, whose employer helms similar outdoor facilities in California, Louisiana, Ohio and Texas, said. “We want to help our nation’s youths to have more positive experiences and more chances for growth. “It’s going to be another safe haven for them, 2nd District Councilman Kenyatta Johnson added. “This is another example of how we are all about supporting our young people and their enrichment. The Point Breeze product commended the Phillies for their commitment to bolstering possibilities for children to challenge themselves through the sport, also acknowledging hard work from the Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Department and Michael DiBerardinis. “This is a spectacular baseball facility, the City of Philadelphia’s Deputy Mayor for Environmental & Community

Resources said as the lead speaker. “Everyone involved knows the importance of youth development, and this project nails it. Reagins affirmed that by explaining that the MLB Urban Youth Foundation, which also offers softball instruction, supplements baseball tutelage with educational guidance, including SAT preparation. The free offerings promise, according to promotional material, to use baseball and softball “as vehicles to encourage character development and teaching important life lessons. “We’re so fortunate to have so many people want to play this game, Phillies Chairman David Montgomery said. “Today is another indication that baseball is thriving. THE LOCAL FRANCHISE is marking its 25th anniversary as a Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities benefactor. Having helped more than 8,000 youths to strengthen their diamond dreams, the organization has forged one of the nation’s largest and most active programs. “We hope these players and many more to come will energize our national pastime, Scott Palmer, the Phillies director of public affairs, said. “This field is the
place where big league dreams begin. If looks alone indicated a location’s brilliance, the week-old stretch would already merit classification as a jewel. Situated within Franklin Delano Roosevelt Park, the space offers up to 450 spectators stunning visuals on the field and off, the former apparent through impeccable grass, dugouts, a scoreboard and a press box and the latter evident through giving a glance to the left-field line, where one can see the Liberty Place towers, and taking a look down the right-field line, where Lincoln Financial Field, 1020 Pattison Ave., becomes visible. “We’ve heard about this for years, Demetrius Isaac, who, like his brother, can call himself a product of the Monarchs, said. “It’s great to have it all come to fruition, and it’s going to be even better when Marian Anderson enters the mix. The sophomore-to-be at Chestnut Hill College held a rendering of the future South of South-situated indoor facility as Montgomery elaborated on the uniqueness of the indoor-outdoor combination. With an expected November opening, the recreation center expanse will hit 7,500 square feet designed for baseball and softball training. “I’ve always supported this project
because it focuses on such a key word, opportunity, Johnson said. The youth guests, following an introduction from renounced announcer Dan Baker, immediately made the best of their opportunity by interacting with such special attendees as former Phillies Dick Allen and Gary Matthews, current slugger Ryan Howard and Philadelphia Stars Negro League standout Mahlon Duckett, all of whom participated in an unforgettable first pitch. “It’s pretty good to follow tradition, Darius Isaac, fresh from a photo with the Phillie Phanatic, said of duplicating his sibling’s standing as a Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities member. “I like that this program is going to be able to help me because it’s one of my goals to play at least two sports in college. “My job is to be a role model to him, Demetrius Isaac confided. “I want to help his coaches and everyone else around him so he can be a better player and person than I am. NOVENA TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
MISCELLANEOUS
Holy Spirit, You who solve all problems, light all roads, so that I can attain my goal. You gave me the divine gift to forgive and forget all evil against me and that in all instances of my life You are with me. I want in this short prayer to thank You for all things as You confirm once again that I never want to be separated from You even in spite of all material illusions. I wish to be with You in eternal glory. Thank You for your mercy towards me and mine. This prayer must be said for three days and after three days the favor will be granted. The prayer must be published immediately.
