Business Profile - Shreve Denture Clinic

Kristin Shreve Swayze DD, graduated from the denturism program at George Brown College in 2006 and just four years later, purchased an existing clinic in Leamington, ushering in the existence of the Shreve Denture Clinic in 2010.

The clinic relocated to its present location at 197 Talbot Street West, Unit 303, in 2014. They offer two denturists – Kristin and her associate, Claudia Szynal DD, who also graduated from George Brown in 2013.

An office manager and a denture technician round out the four-person staff and allows the clinic to provide its patients with very little wait time for consultations and denture fabrications. They also have a full service lab, which often allows for same day repairs and relines and quicker turnaround times for denture fabrication.

Shreve Denture Clinic offers nursing home visits for patients who are unable to come into the office due to mobility issues. They also offer implant over dentures at affordable prices for those having difficulty with chewing or denture movement. This helps restore confidence in everyday life.

As always, their consultations are free and can be easily booked by phone or through email to discuss all of your options.

When the COVID-19 lockdown began this year, the clinic was forced to close their doors for three months until the mandate was lifted and it was deemed safe for them to return to servicing their patients.

“During the lockdown, we implemented many new procedures to help keep our patients safe,” said Kristin.

They have implemented frequent disinfecting of highly touched surfaces, such as door handles and debit machines. In addition, they’ve installed plexiglass barriers at the front desk and have front desk staff with PPE.

The denturists are also wearing increased PPE. The clinic has staggered patient appointments to reduce the likelihood of multiple patients in the office at one time.

They are treating fewer patients per day to allow for increased asepsis of treatment rooms. Patients are also subject to screening before their appointments and once they have arrived at the office.

“We have become very well adapted to our new normal and feel very strongly that we are providing our patients with the safest possible environment while they are receiving their treatment,” Kristin Shreve Swayze said. “We would like to invite all our previous patients back as well as any new patients who are seeking denture care. Our warm friendly environment coupled with our expanded safety measures are how we at Shreve Denture Clinic hope to help ease the minds of our patients so they feel comfortable putting their trust in our team.”
