UNUSUAL SIGHT
POINT PELEE - The Viking Cruise Lines ship Octantis made a brief stop in the area on Monday, May 2 as passengers were allowed off the ship on a land excursion near Point Pelee National Park.
The Octantis is a Great Lakes cruise ship and is traveling from the St. Lawrence Seaway down through the Great Lakes.

Passengers were brought to shore via kayaks and smaller boats.
The boat anchored off Point Pelee until Monday evening, then continued on to the Detroit River.
