McDonald’s employee tests positive LEAMINGTON — On Monday, June 8, an employee from McDonald’s Restaurant at 214 Talbot Street, Leamington, reported that they tested positive for COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution, McDonald’s Canada made the decision to immediately shut down the restaurant for a thorough cleaning and sanitation by a certified third party. McDonald’s Canada is working to ensure their timeline to re-open happens as quickly and safely as possible. All crew members who may have been in close contact with the employee have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available. The employee worked their last shift on June 3 from 4-7 p.m. For any guests, who may have visited the restaurant on June 3, please take direction from the experts at the Ontario Public Health by visiting their website at https://www.publichealthontario.ca/en/diseases-and-conditions/infectiousdiseases/respiratory-diseases/novel-coronavirus.
