OPP investigate death in Leamington

LEAMINGTON – On Thursday, January 27 at 4:56 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Leamington Detachment responded to a wellbeing check at a residence on Sturgeon Meadows Avenue in Leamington.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered a deceased person inside the residence.

The Essex County OPP Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) investigated the incident with the assistance of the OPP West Region K9 and members of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT).

As a result of the investigation, a post-mortem ordered by the coroner concluded that the cause of death is not believed to be suspicious.
