Feast for the children

LEAMINGTON — Caldwell First Nation held an outdoor event on Saturday, July 24, at the Caldwell Community Hall on Orange Street.

A sacred fire was lit to share love and kind, positive thoughts for the Indigenous children affected by the residential school system.

A community barbecue was held and several Caldwell members were on hand to greet the community and share their culture.

Cultural Development Officer Carrie Ann Peters said they were pleased with the turnout.
