PAPP HEADING OVERSEAS

LEAMINGTON — A young gokart champion from Leamington is on his way to Great Britain to continue his racing career.

Eleven-year-old Christian Papp will be racing for Primo Racing of Airdrie, Scotland, in the Super One Karting Championship.

The 12-race series takes place over six weekends from April to August.

Christian has four Canadian Championships in five years of racing.

In October 2021 he represented Canada at the World Karting Championships in Italy.

The Super One series has been the proving grounds for many great racers like current Formula 1 drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, and past F1 drivers Jenson Button and Paul Di Resta.

Christian is out to add his name to that great list of champions.

The first two races of the season take place April 2-3 at the Cumbria Kart Racing Club in Rowrah, England.
