Wheatley Legion holds election of officers

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 324 Wheatley held its Election of Officers on Wednesday, May 18.

Wheatley United Church graciously allowed the Branch to run its elections at the church, as the Legion building remains in the evacuation zone due to the August 26th explosion in Wheatley.

Installation of Officers was held the same evening and the newly-elected Executive will serve a two-year term.

The 2022-2024 Executive is comprised of: President Dick Whittle, Past President Jan Watson, 1st Vice President Judy Pickle, 2nd Vice President Lori Gouin, 3rd Vice President Ken Dawson, and Executive Committee members Sarah Stevenson, Craig Howe, Jason Bell, Willy Lyons and Tom Brown. Cathy Bell will serve as Secretary-Treasurer and Laura Simpson as Recording Secretary.

Tom Brown will also continue to serve as Branch 324’s Sergeant-at- Arms.
