Two people die in head-on collision

LEAMINGTON — Highway 77 north of Leamington was closed for several hours on Sunday after a head-on collision between two vehicles that occurred just before 7 am just north of Road 5.

The passenger of one of the vehicles, Katherina Fehr, age 72, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the same vehicle, Johan Fehr, age 76, was pronounced deceased after being transported to hospital.

The driver of the second vehicle involved was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It was determined that one vehicle was northbound and the second motor vehicle was southbound on Highway 77 when they collided head on.
