Artist China Faith Star works with Beginning Drawing students in Spring Quarter 2021.

Collaboration Installation

May 8 – May 12, 2023 SPSCC art students, led by a visiting artist, will participate in a multi-session workshop that culminates in an exhibition of the work in The Gallery. Students will experience all aspects of a collaborative project, including planning, production, installation, and presentation. Closing reception: Friday, May 12; 6 – 7:30 p.m.

18th Annual SPSCC Student Art Exhibition

May 22– June 16, 2023 South Puget Sound Community College’s art faculty selects outstanding work created by students in studio art classes during the 202223 year. Works include ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, digital photography, mixed-media, 2D and 3D design exercises, and sculpture. A continuous slide show of student work is also included in the exhibition. Opening reception: Friday, May 26; 6 – 7:30 p.m.

2023 Southwest Washington Regional Juried Exhibition

July 10 – Aug. 17, 2023 The Southwest Washington Regional Juried Exhibition serves area artists by providing a high quality exhibition opportunity that promotes the region’s creative identity. Artists working in all media and residing in Clark, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Pierce, Skamania, Thurston, or Wahkiakum counties are invited to submit an entry for consideration. Opening reception: Thursday, July 13; 6 – 7:30 p.m.

There is no ticketing this season at SPSCC. All shows have a suggested $15 donation. Admission is free to SPSCC students, staff, and faculty.

The Leo Gallery is located inside the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts (Building 21). Admission is free. Hours: Monday - Thursday, 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. or by appointment.
