It’s summer and that means fun in the sun! with all are local beaches, parks and summer festivities it is important to keep in mind our skins sensitivity to ultra violet rays. If you have done your research you may already know that store bought sunscreens have a compilation of unhealthy chemicals and additives. These absorb through the skin and make their way into our bloodstream that can cause anything from hives to totally immune system breakdowns. There is some good news! Through increase your consumption of B and C vitamins, all of which are depleted when your body is regularly exposed to solar rays, will assist you in protecting your skin naturally. Indulging in fresh summer fruits and vegetables from a local farmers market will assist your body in creating natural sun protection! Some excellent sources of vitamin C are tomatoes, green peppers, cantaloupe, strawberries, broccoli and collard greens, as well as citrus fruits and juices. Foods rich in vitamin B include raw milk, bananas, tuna, salmon, spinach, peas eggs, liver, poultry, wheat germ, and dried brewer's yeast. Replenish your family by packing a fruit salad or garden salad rich in the vitamins your body needs to keep the sun fun!
Homemade Sun Protection In The Complete Herbal Guide to Natural Beauty, Dian Buchman suggests applying sesame seed oil alone as a tanning aid. If you have access only to whole seeds, grinding a handful of them in your blender or nut grinder and add a few drops of water to make a milky fluid. One quarter teaspoon of witch hazel or ethyl alcohol can be used as a preservative, or you can just label the bottle and keep it refrigerated. Sesame is the polyunsaturated nut oil "which most fully absorbs the ultraviolet rays of the sun". Ms. Buchman also mentions that a combination of sesame oil, anhydrous lanolin, and water can be used as an effective tanning cream. Simply melt 1/4 cup of the lanolin in the top of a double boiler, then immediately blend in 1/4 cup of sesame oil and 3/4 cup of water. This mixture can also be stored in the refrigerator in a clean, labeled container. Another natural sun remedy consists of peeling and mashing one large cucumber and straining the liquid through cheesecloth, add 1 teaspoon each of rose water and glycerin. You should be able to easily locate these items at a local pharmacy. Drop a handful of fresh mint leaves in a blender containing a couple of tablespoons of water, add 1/2 cup of sesame or coconut oil, 1 egg yolk, and 1 tablespoon each of wheat germ oil and lemon juice. You might want to put in a drop of peppermint oil for extra fragrance before blending the ingredients. Once again, keep this suntan lotion refrigerated. QUALIFYING THE QUANTIFIABLE QUANTUM MECHANICS Part Three

B
efore calling the stars of Quantum Mechanics onto the stage, there's one more player we must put in the spotlight first. He is probably the least known, greatest scientific thinker of all time, and in the architecture of physics stands as the most significant structure you'll find between Newton and Einstein, equal to both in contributions and visionary thinking. His life, unfortunately, was cut short by his own hand. Some say it was the disdain his theories received from colleagues which drew the ultimate blow. Others proclaim it merely the final act of a man at constant battle with depression. Either way both his contemporaries and history have yet to give him the true honors he deserves. His name is Ludwig Boltzmann.

Forty seven years before the term "Quantum Mechanics" was ever even used. He was also the strongest advocate for atoms and molecules of his time, yet in the same way Leucippus and Democratis tried to reconcile the opposing theories of Parmenides and Heraclitus, Boltzmann had hoped to find a way to make atomists and anti-atomists happy. He failed, and in doing so almost destroyed all his other theories.
inherent in strict atomist thinking which, in turn, gives us a concise way to clear up the misunderstanding as to what the word "quantum" in "Quantum Mechanics" really means. This, in an incredibly roundabout way, brings us to what this article is all about - addressing the main culprit for why most people get permanently confused by all things quantum mechanical.
Let's start with the atomists. At the most basic, they're of the opinion that in the entire universe there are atoms and absolutely nothing else. In other words, wherever and whenever there isn't an atom there is empty space. Now the point of all this is Leucippus and Democratis called one. Boltzmann was an atomist this "the Void". One could go so far as to argue that Everything (notice the capital "E") is merely one huge bowl of energy soup. So what about Quantum Mechanics? If matter is not quantifiable, if everything is ultimately a form of energy occasionally manifesting itself as parts of an atom, what's with the name "Quantum Mechanics"? Well, two things. One, Quantum Mechanics ultimately deals with probabilities and those probabilities ARE quantifiable. Two, as Boltzmann said, and later scientists proved, energy is not continuous. It actually comes in discrete units ("discrete" as in "distinct", "separate" - not to be confused with "discreet", which I did, thinking for ages that energy was subtle and circumspect). What Quantum Mechanics, in fact, does is calculate, with extreme accuracy, the finite area inhabited by a particle as well as describe and explain energy in terms of measurable quantities. In short, it is able to quantify a universe which is not strictly quantifiable. But how does it do this exactly? And if matter is really just a fuzzy cloud why does the macroscopic world look so clear and defined? And what's with this whole "probability" thing? We'll get into that and more next month when we stop dipping our toe into the Quantum Mechanic pool, and dive head-first into the deep end.

To move away with someone that you are not married to is risky with no guarantees, Not that marriage is a guarantee either! lol I am sure that YOU would feel more confident in your decision to do this gigantic move if you had this security behind you. Moving and leaving your emotional security blanket of family behind is a huge decision but it is also can be a great growing experience for you. When you have a family of your own you learn to pull tighter and communicate on a different level. This will be the case for you. There is always SKYPE and the phone to stay in touch. I feel this is a great move for you and that you will not have a difficult time finding a new job either. Please though think about the commitment to one another prior to the geographic move. Dear Bethany, Forgiveness is a strange emotion, it comes to each of us in different ways, times, similar to grief. The question here for you is this, Have you forgiven yourself? Somewhere in your child's mind are you still blaming yourself for something involving these issues? Remember that to a child a shadow is a boogie man ! When situations come up that remind us of the past, it can trigger Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome . Not only does out emotional system have memory, but so does our body, nervous system and muscles. Any one of these can be triggered when approached with some thing from the past that was not totally dealt with. I can feel that This might not be only one situation that you are dealing with. Since you may have multilevels of PTSD, might I suggest a therapist who deals with this specifically. My 'Guidance by Pat' , can help to a certain degree, but I also know when I should refer out, and I believe that this might just be one of those situations. There will come a day, in the not to far future that you will have that forgiveness, even memory free of the pain that was caused you in your childhood, but work will need to be done to get there. Attention to those who caused this pain to you must be addressed as well. I send you a great deal of love and light in dealing with this situation. The Gemini-Capricorn cycle last month may have left us feeling a bit exposed and very heavy. Did any major messages come in with the Gemini new moon for you? Any new connections? Gemini may have allowed some major communication to happen that could have even changed the way you see those close to you.You may have even been faced with some hard hitting lessons when that full moon in Capricorn came out on June 23rd. With Mercury going retrograde right after a weighty moon like Capricorn we may feel like we have a lot to learn, or a very long way to go. Don’t be discouraged. Capricorn may have given you the reality check you needed to plan a sturdy foundation.You may have even been forced to look at where you need a little more self-control and discipline. These are all things that we periodically need to take a look at, and in the end, they are the areas in our life in which we will evolve the most in. These are the areas of our own personal transformation; the areas of extreme growth and evolution. The end of June and the first week of July may feel like it’s moving at a snail’s pace, but the new moon in Cancer will begin to get things flowing again. Then with Mercury going direct on July 20th, the pace will really begin to pick up. The new moon in Cancer brings out the nurturing mother, the creative artist, and the inventor in all of us. Cancer is a water sign, and it will get your emotions flowing.You could go toward the romantic, mushygushy side Cancer can bring out in all of us, or you could go towards the emotionally volatile nature with outbursts that stem from deep emotional wounds. If the latter is the case, it is a great time to start healing those wounds. Be aware that emotions are running high, and be cautious. Like the Ocean, there are ebbs and flows; you may mimic those ups and downs. Being aware that the moon will be giving you that extra emotional push, though, will make easier to control those emotions, or at the least, have forewarning of them coming up to the surface.You will very sensitive at this time, as the moon is symbolic of your emotions and your emotional body. It’s like any trips or vacations that you planned while Mercury was in retrograde after June 26th. They may have gone a rye, or had other unexpected financial repercussions. It’s always good to look out for Mercury retrograde periods when making any trips or big decisions. Hindsight is always the best lesson for that, though. Use that Capricorn energy at the end of June and beginning of July to help you plan accordingly. If not, you may be under water until after July 20th, when Mercury goes direct again. The full moon in Aquarius comes to us on July 22nd, and with it pushes all the water out, as the water-bearer does. Aquarius is a fixed, air sign that will take the emotions out of things, and after a very emotional month you will feel a lot lighter after the 22nd. Mercury will be direct, and the pace of things will really begin to pick up. Aquarius brings the new and inventive to us, so you will really have some things to build upon with all those ideas that came in during the Cancer new moon. The full moon in Aquarius also brings in humanitarian qualities and social change. This moon brings out the dreamer in everyone. It will bring in different, creative ideas for helping people on a larger scale, such as global changes. Not only does Aquarius bring out the humanitarian, but also the liberal; it brings out qualities of openmindedness and tolerance that we all possess. Maybe you’ll be a little more patient with those whom you’ve, in the past, been short with, or maybe this will help you open your awareness to
global social changes that are happening. This full moon will help us remember that we are all connected, and when one part suffers we all suffer. When one part heals, we all heal. We are all part of the same whole; Aquarius will help us feel this connection again, because even though it is a moon of selfreliance and individualism, it is also one of humanitarianism and one to bring out the dreamer of social justice, and connectedness that we all must remember. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, and often brings surprises and the unexpected. This also brings out the adventurous nature in us all, and can be a lot of fun. In the early nineties the angels came out strong; many were awakened to reveal conversations with the angels like Doreen Virtue, Barbara Mark (may her soul rest in divine peace) her sister Trudy Griswold, Richard Paul Evans among the hundreds to thousands more. Today another type of angel is emerging from under their sacred places, the fairies. Though they have always been there, and many have seen the Fae, they choose to stay quiet. Now the Earth calls that they speak out for her, and unite the children with their parents to create an abundant peaceful planet where all needed supplies flourish and over flow because Ego has no voice. We humans will and reach the higher learning to shut Ego out completely once we live in pure integrity. I started, in the beginning of this year, to let out my fairy story, and slowly reveal who Esmeralda actually was. All the fairies started to emerge from their mushroom filled gardens and spoke most poetically. We are growing a garden, and planting words within a book that will reveal what is to come next within the generation of the children of mother earth. This whole new generation is being born to save and restore what many years of egotistical nature collapsed. The positive thing is, mother Earth has all she needs to restore and balance, and with the help of these special earthly angels and the fairies we can create the most magical era ever encountered within history books. As I walk through my sacred garden that is less than a 10/10, and I sit and pray and feel the presence of spirit, I ask and I let go to receive what needs to be told, absorbed and shared. I can say that this month I worked with the fairies in my home by cooking with herbs I’ve grown, prayed over, and invited the fairies to bless. I have united with my children to help me with the many things I tackle as my guides say “Daisy, you are not alone. Ask for help.” I didn’t know what that meant… Ask for help? Now I know, and I do ask for the help. You can too. Ask the fairies; invite them to your home, your gardens, your parks, pray over the land. Your energy, united by others, gives positive love and healing to our mother. After all, we are brothers and sisters united by the one Divine. As you stroll in your garden, let the fairies know your presence is near so you don’t frighten the poor dears. If you cut the lawn today, make sure you gently give a heads up, for this noise-making machine throws the fairies work astray. When you add new crops, herbs, or seed, ask the fairies to bless them please. Water with love, and adorn your garden with mystical arrays, solar lights and cascading wind chimes that sing each time you visit the special fairy realm within your own back yard.

Simply the Light Source It's summer time, and the living is easy ... As the song goes. Good weather will always bring us more joy to meditate upon, as we look to the great outdoors to inspire us this time of year. I've found that in the past few weeks, the simplicity of just stepping out my front door into sunshine has brought a great deal of solace as to the perfection of our planet to observe. It's the simple things we miss during winter time, like baby birds and butterflies flitting by, that warm our hearts. It is a reminder of the constant renewal of our planet upon us as the summer time dawns. Nature teaches us the perfection of life…That things happen effortlessly…That each living thing is guided by perfect timing and perfect precision to keep our planet in balance. The effortless energy with which life flows, also knows when to bloom and which animals to multiply. It's all held within such a wonderfully balanced paradigm called planet earth, yet sometimes, we skip over the simpleness that our lives were intended to express in physical. The simple facts like joy being the goal all along, that our hearts are perfectly guided, and that we can trust the seasons, the reasons, and the timing of our creation. I look at summer as a reminder of the new, fresh perspective coming forward…the excitement of the carefree living our planet has to offer. I encourage us all to stop and smell the roses, and to contemplate the unique and complex ways the universe replenishes our environment yearround for all of us. Take notice of what amazing abundance exists here for us under all conditions. Conditions are
simply self imposed thoughts that can be shaped and molded. We have the power within to replenish our own lives. Just the other day, I had the privilege of rendezvousing with a friend from a popular forum I attend, in person. It was a wonderful breakfast meeting that yielded a great conversation about abundance and our own personal power. Perhaps one of the most powerful self affirmations was shared during our meeting as she spoke of how she is reminded of her own creative power in the moment. This month begins a major shift in society as we focus on what feeds us both on an emotional and spiritual level. Water signs Pisces, Scorpio and Cancer receive a tremendous flow of energy. This energy will be processed well by earth signs Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. Air signs Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius along with Fire signs Aries, Leo and Sagittarius may find the pace a bit slower moving then they are comfortable with. For all expect a big fourth of July celebration as Mom, Home and Apple Pie are being served up to us in a special helping this year. We are focus on what nurtures us in the past, present and future. Aries: This month you might feel a bit steamy and cross. Life is feeling a bit chaotic on the home front and family may accuse you for being out for yourself. You are the family watchdog and maybe hurt by that comment, even if there is a bit of truth contained within. Expect old buried feelings to surface around Father or authority figures. You are having a hard time determining where you belong now. For some of you it might be time to leave home, metaphorically or realistically. Taurus: This is a good pace for you once again. You feel like things are going your way in the local world around you. You have the winning touch and can easily gain consensus around siblings, kinfolk or those you interact with in the immediate environment. Cancer: This is your lucky year starting now and running for a full 12 months ahead. This month the action energy is on you and what you bring to the table. Focus on your feelings but allow feelings to pass through you without holding on to emotional residue. Since you are emotionally driven, especially at this time, pay attention to what causes you to react or overreact. Libra: James Cagney had a much quoted line, “Look at me Ma I’m on top of the world”. Now it’s your turn to say the same. You are popular and sought after this month. Perhaps it’s because of your sense of justice and teamwork. You gather others around you to gain a certain group consensus or supportive network now. You seek a more equitable arrangement in your roles and career. Perhaps it’s time to negotiate for more status or power? A bigger paycheck would certainly go a long way at this time. Scorpio: Now is the time for you to pursue your greatest potential. Where this will take you next is up to you but one thing is clear you are not quite satisfied, something is driving you further. Perhaps this is instinct or a certain competitive nature that never lets you rest. You must get to the bottom of everything so you can understand the hidden truth. Whatever is revealed to you this month can greatly influence others around you. Sagittarius: This month can be a bit difficult around intimate relationships or financial arrangements. You need to go further while others want to play it safe. Do you have the proper foundation both spiritually and realistically to make the leap? You cannot give yourself over to a human relationship without experiencing disappointment, however a spiritual or creative relationship honors such a sacrifice. Take yourself into the void and find your cloak of many colors. Give up trying to save others, that is there job now not yours.
