1. Introduction My Name is Simran. Persaud, When I first decided to pursue the IBT program from grade eight to nine I never imagined it would turn out to be the way that it is. My grade eight experience was so different than it is now and I know I have only been in high school for a few months but I have learned so much. Every class you learn something else about yourself and your goals for the program. By completing this portfolio I hope to be able to recognize where I stand in terms of my strengths and weakness. Every day I discover something else about myself and so it’s hard to tell exactly where I stand when it comes to academics, extracurricular activities and my personal growth. This portfolio will be able to show me how I have progressed, and what I need to do to improve. This also builds up my confidence yet still reminds me how much room there is for change and improvement I take this very seriously and can only hope for the best throughout this program and that my grade nine portfolio, will be able to guide me through this new experience.

3.Personal Accomplishment I started playing when I was nine years old. I was able to perform at several musical events through this academy.
3.Personal Accomplishment This was important to me because it really showed me that I was capable of accomplishing anything I put my mind to.
4. Community Service
I was able to complete my 40hrs before starting gr. 9
57hrs.
Interacting with many kids, as well as assisting their team leaders.
I was able to learn leadership skills, while running the different activities.
4.Community Service I also volunteered at North Park for the Williams Pkwy IBT night.
I was able to share my experiences with the IBT program. I was able to answer any questions, the students had.
5.Career Planning Major in Law
This career choice interests me because of it’s fast pace work environment. Having the ability to make a huge impact on someone’s life gravitates me towards this career path.

This career plan interests me because of the mystery aspect to the job. Financially once I am stable it would be a great career choice and it would definitely challenge me every single day.
6.Academic Work For English class- mythology I created an ancient book using technology based resources to insert my information
6.Academic Work This assignment was extremely successful yet very difficult. I had overcome my challenges in science class and produced something I was very proud of.

7. Group Work Choose action pushed North Park students to collaborate with each other and discuss ways to improve our school.
This challenge in Business class allowed us IBT students to strategize with each other to solve a variety of problems.
8. Co-Curricular Activities
Although several hours were put in to this production after school, I definitely gained some valuable experience
