ith crisp, brown leaves and a decline in temperature (in some places), we’re reminded that summer is over and we’re now firmly settled into Fall. It seemed a better time couldn’t have come for the first issue of SPACES, the new magazine and interior design publication for IMVU. While scrolling through the endless feed of Instagram through various vacation pics and mommy blogs, I came to realise how much the interest in beautiful interiors has grown with the rise of Instagram and influencer culture. It’s become popular to have a gorgeously laid out apartment or family home for bloggers and non-bloggers alike. I have witnessed the demand and interest incline rapidly over the months myself as I’m requested more and more to deliver for the 'Instagram home'. As the rise of modern and modern glam creators grow within the IMVU catalog - including me - it was about time that a magazine solely focused on interior design and the wonders of the catalog came out. And so SPACES Interior Design Magazine was born. With a team of experienced individuals with an incredible eye, we’ve put together our very first issue. In this issue, explore the current fall and November trends as we transition to the holiday season in carefully articulated articles written to satiate your design interests. Find new products that might have otherwise been unseen and creators that you may not have yet discovered or simply missed their latest submissions. Discover current trends and inspiration and ideas on how to decorate your own space. Save up your credits as this issue will get your creative juices flowing and pry open your wallet. We hope you enjoy this issue and the many more to come! EDITOR IN CHIEF

5 COLOUR SCHEMES TO CONSIDER THIS FALL Written by Agebeke
If we're being frank, we all know that fall is the best season for colors. Fall is mostly known for falling leaves, pumpkin patches, and sweaters. And if you're looking to beautify your personal, Office or Kitchen space this season, there is no better way than with a Fall-inspired Palette. Fall-Season is the time of warm colors, dried leaves, the season of yellows and oranges, browns and beige that convey a calming and serene feel. The color scheme you choose will greatly affect the feel and ambiance of your space as well as your mood when you are in it. Colors have a great impact within your space may that be inside or outside the house. Warm tones are colors in shades of Charcoal, Chocolate, Terracotta, Burnt Orange and Marigold. Mostly associated with elements such as daylight, earth, and fire.Keep the contrast levels to medium and be sure to avoid cool colors such as pastel blue or you'll look sick. Burnt Orange is a good balance between red and orange. Though the shade is still bright, it's a bit less vibrant than orange and creates the perfect fall feeling- cozy and warm. 13 SPACES MAGAZINE | NOVEMBER 2019
Painting the trim of your curtain or table cover chocolate or espresso is a quick and easy way to warm up an allwhite living room or even chocolate colored cutlery for your fall dining table arrangement.
Marigold is a bold color, and it may feel like its a bit too much to paint your wall in for fall, but artwork or pillows are a great way to infuse the vibrancy of this color without losing the warmth of fall. Fall-Season calls for warm and cozy interiors, so use tones with more depth(deeper tones). Charcoal colored furniture brings elegance and warmth, echoing the colors found in the array of colors and artwork in your space. A good fall color scheme incoporates a single shade with variances in brightness, saturation, and a few tint. This scheme might seem like they are from the same family because all the colors are based on red but it creates a very polished look. So have fun using these colors to style up your space this Fall!

With over 400 meshes in her LeStyle catalog and over 1,000 products in her PlugStyles catalog, Plugstyles is known for her large, modern bundles. Though with many residential bundles such as the pictured Fall 2019 home, she also occasionally releases commerical bundles. These include her Corporate Offices and Hair Bar showing she caters to the business owner crowd who also seek modern and trendy establishments. Her bundles are well detailed, inclusive and complimentary with interesting colour palettes and eye-catching designs.

One of the latest bundles of Plugstyles includes her Fall 2019 home. A palette consisting of the current fall trends (discussed on pg 42) with black furniture, jewel green, purple and gold accents. This bundle is perfectly on trend but also has the extra addition of a mustard yellow, an earlier trending colour from last year (which was often paired with grey). Together the home has a luxurious feel as well as giving nods to the fall season with this autumnal palette and even a few select pieces of pumpkin -related decor.

MELENDA
As homeowners, we always want our living spaces to look great and inviting to whoever might come to visit. We want to stay in with the trends of every season and that is where this article comes into play. What has the trends for the kitchen been in 2019? Read on to find out and get some inspiration for this fall season.
1
Clever, concealed storage Ideally, lots of homeowners like for their homes to look like something out of a catalog. A modern and clean design that speaks to the aesthetic that is so often seen these days; minimalism. I have to say that it does look beautiful and it’s a clever way to store your kitchenware, so it doesn’t look too messy.
Getting those vintage vibes
2
As the world moves ahead and everything becomes more and more about technology and less about putting personality into the things we do and our surroundings, a little of that is put back into our kitchens with a vintage vibe. Trends of only a few generations ago are becoming more and more popular and putting a modern twist on the elements with using organic basalt tiles, vintage inspired pictures on the walls, you know, the good old “Basket of Fruit” painting. We put in hand-wrapped rattan furniture and vintage inspired lighting fixtures.

Freestanding Islands
Most kitchens in modern homes today are big and spacious, we also want to make good use of that space and what better way to do that than with a beautiful freestanding island? They’re both practical for prepping food or just to enjoy a nice cup of tea in the morning. And, no one can deny that they look pretty damn awesome.
4
Digital Technology
5
Being in the 21st century, we cannot completely avoid technology. It is something that has come to stay and a long way down the road; thank heavens for that. Here, we are talking things like Wi-Fi-enabled espresso machines that can make your morning coffee even before you get out of bed. How crazy is that?!
Forged Iron Shelves
Perfection. That’s what a lot of people today are looking for. To be in a space that sets the perfect scene for that perfect Instagram picture or your latest post on Pinterest. Maybe it’s for your new blog post. Either way, putting up those beautiful forged iron shelves in your kitchen and decorating, perhaps with some home grown herbs, will create the perfect frame for that breathtaking Instagram picture. SPACE SHOWCASE
Every month we showcase the spaces of IMVU. This month we looked into the home of mommy blogger Riaeyn. Interview by Dulciii 33 SPACES MAGAZINE | NOVEMBER 2019
With the designing of your house, where there any key creators that you knew would be included and if so why them? RIAEYN: I don't think there was any key creators that were the main creators of the house. I know that Melomanie was used because of her minimal/modern furniture. I didn't design the house myself but from spectating and recognizing furniture myself which is how I know that Melomanie furniture was used somewhere in the house. The house was designed by Shroomish.
What was the inspiration behind the look of your house? Was there any at all? I wanted a modern looking home. I didn’t want any bright colours like pink, yellow, bright blue, etc. I wasn’t completely opposed to color but I did want the main color to be white and that’s what the main colour of my family house is.

Are you particularly fond of Melomanie as a creator due to her minimal style? I am very fond of her furniture. I like all the decorations she has including her kitchen pieces and sets. I also like her bathroom decorations and actual bathroom furniture (bathtubs, sinks, etc.) I have a lot of her furniture from my old apartment. The whole place was all her furniture. Overall who would you say that is your favourite creator or do you now have one? My favourite creators, plural because I have 2! They would have to be Toxack and of course Melomanie. You've gone into detail about why Melomanie is one your favourites but why Toxack? Toxack is a favorite creator of mine because she creates baby products and cars. I have a daughter who of course needs baby furniture such as a crib, play den, swing, car seat, etc. Toxack provides that all with different color options and designs which I love because I'm not limited to only a few options. Her cars are very detailed, the interior is amazing and one of my favourite parts. I have 2 cars from her so far (I plan to get more in the future when I find more space because we have 4 cars total) that I love a lot. They are both in the color white but they had multiple color options and design options I could have picked from. You’re not limited in choices when you shop Toxack.

Dulci Classy Closet Island Melomanie The entire classy closet set put out by Melomanie is amazing. I love it and the concept of it but this island is probably one of my favourite pieces from it because it can just bring a room together.
Dream Closet Stilettos Stymesh Stymesh has been my go to creator when decorating the closet by Melomanie, I love how she has a range of shoes and bags which can be used in the closet but the boots are my favourite because finding boots decor is so hard and the range of boots style in this one product is just great.
