Handcrafted using teakwood
spaces within offers custom-designed wooden furniture, where each piece is lovingly designed to create unique and contemporary pieces.
Personalized
to suit your space and style
An eclectic blend
of material, craft and workmanship
We combine
teakwood (our main building material) with various others like natural stone, glass, metal, cane, fabric and intricate art and craft.
the design process
1 We make a site visit, to study the existing space and the interior style, as also to understand our client’s requirements and preferences. Based on this, a furniture layout plan is proposed.
2 Furniture designs are developed through conceptual sketches, images, or samples. Details such as preferred sitting or working heights, type of cushioning, etc are discussed with the client for better comfort and higher customization.
3
Once the designs and estimates are approved by the client, we prepare working drawings and go ahead with the actual creation.
4 Each piece is personally overseen by us to ensure that the designs created on paper are faithfully interpreted.

“ client’s feedback
I was commissioned by Mrs Upasana and Mr Rajat Bagrodia to design their 8000 sq ft residence, spread over two floors, at Tollygunge, Kolkata. The residence had straight contemporary lines; however, since they always lived in large colonial style bungalows, they wanted a bit of classical design to their space. I was looking at providing an eclectic look to this residence – a mix of contemporary with old world charm, when I met interior architect Avantika. She and her design partner Kalpana have been designing interior spaces for over a decade. I loved their sense of design and attention to detail. The greatest comforting factor was that since both of them are interior architects themselves, they could understand space and design style, and created furniture that complemented and completed my design. The whole process of designing, manufacturing and delivering furniture was seamless and hassle-free. I am extremely excited and happy with the end result, and look forward to working with them on more of my projects. All the very best to spaces within!

The journey with spaces within was a beautiful one. Avantika and Kalpana designed furniture that took into consideration our own taste, and made sure the work also resonated with our interior designer Ahmad’s creations. This furniture is not just the wood work one finds in stores – these well-crafted pieces are beautiful and personal – they are crafted from the heart, and have a soul. We love the dining table and the crockery cabinet with the metal jaali shutters. The day-bed is my personal favourite, upholstered in bright ikat fabric and loaded up with big cushions. I would highly recommend every home owner to give as much attention to their furniture as they do to all other aspects of building their home.
