Spain is a world leader in Meetings and Events Tourism (MICE), a safe option if you're looking for the best outcome. What makes a difference is the variety and quantity of resources, the extensive experience of our professionals, top-quality accommodation and extraordinary infrastructures. The data collected annually by the ICCA (International Congress & Conventions Association) report, where Spain ranks among the top positions, confirms that our country is one of the best destinations for hosting meetings, conferences and large professional events. Spain is the only country with two cities, Barcelona and Madrid, inclu-

SpainDMCs is an official association of prestigious incoming travel agencies specialising in meetings and incentive programmes.

If you want to hold a conference or convention, OPC España (Spanish Association of Professional Conference Organisers) will help you find your ideal space in any destination in the country. The main international associations for the sector, such as ICCA, SITE and MPI, also have a specific chapter made up of Spanish professionals.

The MICE Forum also brings together event organisers, suppliers of materials and personnel and many other associations in the sector.

Located in the Madrid Marriott Auditorium Hotel & Conference Centre, it is a short distance from the airport and the IFEMA Trade Fair and 20 minutes from the city centre. It offers a comprehensive service with more than 50 flexible meeting spaces and an auditorium with capacity for 2,000 people.

IFEMA MADRID EXHIBITION CENTRE

The Exhibition Centre is one of the two main spaces of IFEMA MADRID, a consortium formed by the Community of Madrid, the Madrid City Council, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Montemadrid Foundation. It has 200,000 square metres available, distributed across 13 pavilions, 85 rooms, 2 convention centres and outdoor areas.

KINÉPOLIS MADRID CIUDAD DE LA IMAGEN CINEMA

This was the first cinema opened in Spain by Kinepolis Group. It has 25 screens and more than 9,200 seats. It has the latest technology in image and sound and screens of up to 250 square metres. It also has spaces such as Lumière, perfect for hosting conventions, or the VIP balcony, ideal for meetings.

GLASS PAVILION OF CASA DE CAMPO

This is an emblematic building of the Spanish trade fair sector and is located in one of the green lungs of the city with views of the Royal Palace. It has a large exhibition area spread over three levels. It is connected by a tunnel to the Madrid Arena and is a unique venue for hosting large themed fairs.

REAL CASINO DE MADRID

It is an impressive palace from the beginning of the 20th century, declared a Monument of Cultural Interest and located in the city centre. Its distinguished rooms are ideal for meetings, and its list of services makes the Casino one of the best clubs in the world. In addition, the prestigious chef Paco Roncero curates its gastronomic offering.

CALLAO CITY LIGHTS

The emblematic Callao Cinemas, built in 1926, are located in the busiest square in Spain. They have multipurpose spaces with the latest technology and offer the possibility of holding the prelude to the event in Callao Square itself with the support of two outdoor screens measuring 102 and 130 square metres.

CRYSTAL GALLERY, CIBELES PALACE

The Gallery is located in one of the most emblematic buildings in Madrid built at the beginning of the 20th century: The Cibeles Palace, the current home of the City Hall. It is a large courtyard spanning 2,800 square metres, enclosed by an impressive vault made of nearly 2,000 triangular crystals. It frequently hosts all kinds of public and private events.

The Spanish National Railway Network (RENFE) links all the country's main cities and regions. INFORMATION ON PASSPORTS AND VISAS

Citizens of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland can enter Spain with their national identity document or passport.

Visitors of all other nationalities will need a visa unless they have a residence permit or a long-stay visa issued by a Schengen State. Documents must be valid for up to three months after the planned date of departure from the Schengen area and have been issued within the 10 years prior to entry.

Additional documentation may also be required, such as: invitation from a company or authority to participate in meetings; documents proving the existence of professional relationships or access cards to trade fairs and conferences

In all cases, it will be necessary to prove the existence of financial resources for the planned stay in Spain.

Short-stay visas allow a stay and transit through Spain for 90 days, while long-stay visas are required to stay in Spain for more than 90 days. The visa for teleworkers can be requested to carry out a remote work or professional activity for companies located outside of Spain. All of them are issued by Spanish embassies or consulates in the country of origin.
