SOPHOMORE SEMINAR
The freshman seminar program curriculum provides students with the opportunity for optimum development of their social and emotional well-being. Learning experiences will help to promote resiliency, positive attitudes and behaviors that can enhance their quality of life and maximize their personal potential. This seminar style class provides students with the knowledge to think critically, communicate effectively, make good decisions and act responsibly.
Sophomore seminar is almost entirely humanistic. It is an opportunity for discussions of everything from global events to personal goals and achievements. Annually, the sophomores take responsibility for community service projects both inside and outside the school. Our goal is to help student be good citizens of the world.

REFINE & EXECUTE
Through career interest categories, self-inventories of interest, abilities and achievements, students begin to explore their values and ambitions which ultimately leads to choosing a college that is the right fit. Focus is given to college recommendations, interview prep, college essays and exams.
Personal attention is given to assist the students in finalizing their college list, selecting additional testing, completing final edits on essays, and completing college applications. Types of admissions are considered to meet the individual needs of the students. The college application process is an integral part of the Sparhawk education involving introspection, articulation of goals, and the development of mature decision-making.
