SPARK is a gallery that exhibits talented art photographers, video artists, and visual documentarists. Spark is run by six photographers and artists. We are located in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. Alongside the gallery, Spark also functions as a meeting place and a forum for photographers and visual artists. In our exhibitions we expose upcoming and sometimes rather established artists, some of which are recent graduates from art academies and schools across Europe and Scandinavia. It is our intention to create a greater understanding and appreciation for photography as an art of image as well as imagination. Being one of few galleries in Denmark that focuses primarily but not solely on the photographic image, we exist as an alternative venue to the more established art institutions in Denmark.
