B.E. IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

Gain in-depth classroom and practical knowledge about renewable energy and electrical power generation, distribution, and consumption.

COURSEWORK: Electronics, electrical power, programming, abstract thinking

HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE: Designing, building, and testing electrical power systems and machines

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE OPTIONS:

• U.S. Coast Guard Deck License

• U.S. Coast Guard Engine License

• Industry Internship

B.E. IN FACILITIES ENGINEERING

Learn to operate, service, and manage the heating, air conditioning, ventilation and other systems for large facilities, like hospitals, schools, corporate buildings, and ships. These graduates are in demand to run many of the metropolitan area’s large buildings.

COURSEWORK: Math, thermal/fluid science, and electrical engineering with economics, communication, and management

HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE: Powering and controlling engines and energy systems

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE OPTIONS:

• U.S. Coast Guard Engine License

• Industry Internship

B.E. IN MARINE ENGINEERING

Learn to design, operate and maintain marine and industrial power plants.

COURSEWORK: Thermal and fluid sciences, math, applied mechanics, electrical engineering, and problem solving

HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE: Powering and controlling a vessel’s engine and system during three summer sea terms

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• U.S. Coast Guard Engine License

B.E. IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Focus on designing and building innovative mechanical components and systems.

COURSEWORK: Applied mechanics, math, fluid mechanics, electrical engineering, and design techniques and concepts

HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE: Extensive vessel training or intensive shore-side internships, depending on your goals
