JOIN OUR LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP
The Regiment of Cadets offers a disciplined lifestyle, preparing students to earn a U.S. Coast Guard License and work on commercial vessels. The regiment is not affiliated with the U.S. military, and there is no service requirement.
The Regiment instills discipline, camaraderie, and confidence in each and every cadet, from Indoctrination through graduation. You’ll learn not just how to survive and thrive onboard a ship, you’ll also gain an uncommonly strong physical, mental, and ethical foundation for a successful future in any field.
Required Membership
The Regiment of Cadets is required to earn a U.S. Coast Guard Deck or Engine License, as well as for the following degree programs:
• A.A.S., Maritime Technology
• B.E., Marine Engineering
• B.S., Marine Operations
• B.S., Marine Transportation
You’ll also participate in three Summer Sea Terms aboard our state-of-the-art training ship.
Optional Membership
You can still participate in the Regiment, even if you do not intend to work onboard a commercial vessel. You’ll abide by all of the Regiment’s rules and regulations, including wearing a uniform and participating in Regimental activities. Instead of Summer Sea term, you will participate in required internship(s).
