So. BORED You think you’re
You have an internet connection, right? I'm assuming so because you're reading this, so before you go changing your status to "I'm sooo bored" for the third time this week, check out this wide range of click-worthy activities.
If you’re at liberty to blast some tunes, or were thoughtful enough to bring along a pair of headphones (the things usually attached to your ipod), then you can start up a unique pandora station to jam out to whilst clicking through the internet....

The key to really having a good Pandora station is to thumb up and down songs that you really like, or really don't. And also, add variety to your station by telling Pandora more than just your initial seed song or artist. Pandora does now have a few sporadic "commercials" that play after a while, but they're fairly short and unannoying.
People make postcards of their deepest, innermost thoughts and secrets (or, you know, the occasional, “i like the smell of my own pee”), and mail them off to this guy named Frank in Germantown, Maryland. He scans in the good ones and posts them for our viewing enjoyment.

This is one of those clickable pet sites, where you post the link to an image (that usually starts out as an egg) and try to get other people to click on it, letting it grow, level up, or get full.

DRAGCAVE is probably the most popular site like this, but it has a funny name (fyi: it’s actually dragon cave) and the eggs from there die really easily and that’s no fun for quick boredom-busting. SQUIBY is nice because it’s user-created content, has no sort of adoption limit, and your pets won’t ever die. But there is a limited amount of user interaction with your pets: all you can do is click. UNICREATURES has a nice jump-right-in adoption system, where your first pet is past egg level so you can do the myriad of other activities with it while you try to hatch some more. They have a choose-your-own-path adventure game that I have been playing for a few days and still haven’t finished. And the option to train and combat your creatures makes this a site to keep going back to, often. I currently have 9 accomplishments, out of probably 200 some odd possible ones.
This is my favorite user-created content site. People submit graphics and slogans, and the members vote on them for a week. The highranking designs are made into some amazing Tshirts, Hoodies, and Prints!

[ TYPE TEES is one of their sub-sites: you can submit slogans to have judged the same way... and who knows, maybe you can even win some cash!
I’ve bought some from Threadless’s online store, but you don’t need to pay anything to enjoy the printed designs, or rip into the people that think their sketched drawing of 800 triangles coming out of an elephant with luigi’s face is too awesome not to print...

Wordle is a cool text-based graphic creating toy with lots of possibilities. It’s pretty easy to use and opperates on a simple idea, but has some amazing results.

Open a term paper, or go to your favorite text-full site (like your facebook profile, your twitter account, lyrics from your favorite song, or the leaked chapters of midnight sun). Click on “Create”, and paste your text in the top box. If you paste from facebook (or a similar site), go ahead and delete the bottom-of-the-page junk that shows up. Just hit “Go” and wordle figures out which words appear most, and displays them in a random graphical format. Use the options on the bar above your wordle to change its appearance (text, color scheme, word layout), or change the maximum number of words choose whether numbers show up. Use the options below your image to keep it. You can either print, do a screenshot (ctrl+printscreen), or save your image to a public gallery so that you can easily send the link to the image on the net.
Gasp, really? Yes, seriously. It’s not just for egotistical praise-hungry teens. There’s a lot of boredom to be killed with 140 characters. If you don’t have a twitter account, consider getting one just to see what all the hype’s about.

If you do have a twitter account, but don't use it, here are a few things to check out that don't require you to say a thing... (but feel free to tweet it up if something sparks your interest, nobody's likely to judge you, and if they do, who cares?)

Most of us have a facebook by now (even parents whose teens refuse to befriend them), and the barrage of applications can get annoying, overwhelming, and useless. But there are a few worth allowing that don’t require you to spam your entire friendlist for access to cool content.

If you liked the clickable pet sites, try SuperPoke Pets, and make sure to give SuperPoke a once-over as well. But a new app that’s making waves, smiles, and probably three other things, is LivingSocial’s PickFive!

From dozens of categories, there are hundreds if not thousands of sets you can pick five of your favorites of. They can get really funny, and there are soo many to do that it takes a while to get bored of picking these things. Be sure to check out the five “items, if bought together, would make the cashier wonder about you,” “5 people you want to punch in the face,” and “best crayola crayons.”

I’m sure you’ve heard of this site, even if it made you WTF instead of LOL. It’s funny misspelled captions on pictures of cats: simple, and yet hillarious. But if you’re more of dog person... well there’s LOLdogs too.
