“I was fortunate enough o be a guinea pig for Julie who totally relaxed me with her expert skills, many of the staff followed and commented that we should have this more often! What struck me as I was closing my eyes and relaxing was that I was listening to staff and soaking up the atmosphere which was really buzzing. I overheard staff who where talking to each other from opposite wards—it was as if they’d not seen each other in ages. There was a definite sense of togetherness. I truly believe this celebration enabled the nursing staff to feel appreciated in their roles,” said Karen McGeorge.
