WISH YOU WERE HERE?

If, like us, you can't quite believe we're already approaching summer, you may already be thinking about booking a holiday for later this year before it's too late! Travelling in September and October offers a wonderful ancient world experience, with some of the more popular archaeological destinations finally at more pleasant temperatures and the throng of summer tourists behind us. To help inspire your next holiday, we've rounded up a selection of expert-led itineraries departing throughout autumn with remaining spaces.

You will find three brand new tours among the following pages, one of which explores sites and cities around Lake Garda in Italy, another that will take you beyond the famous landmarks of Paris on a tour that discovers this vibrant capital’s more hidden archaeological hotspots and a third that will explore Malta and Gozo this October with a captivating, prehistory-focussed itinerary that was shaped by Guide Lecturer Dr Jeremy Bennett. Elsewhere, there are opportunities to join our best-selling tours, which can take you from the sprawling site of Pompeii in southern Italy to the Minoan palaces on the Greek island of Crete, and from the awe-inspiring temple site of Abu Simbel in Egypt to the rock-cut city of Petra in Jordan. There are also a few European cruises to choose between along with a tour of the Viking homelands that will see you explore sites in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. What's more, due to popular demand we have added an extra departure to our Pompeii, Herculaneum & Classical Campania tour, and an extra departure to our Puglia & Basilicata tour.

If you’re hoping to stay closer to home, we have some domestic tours that will see you discover rock art in Scotland’s Kilmartin Glen, see the iconic Megalithic site of Newgrange in Ireland or enjoy an in-depth visit to the north-west frontier of Roman Britain in Cumbria. What’s more, for those looking to get away for longer there are a few tours within this brochure that have been designed so you can travel on them back-to-back for a saving of up to £300pp, and for the solo travellers among us there are some departures that have dedicated zero single supplement spaces available. Whatever you're looking for, we are sure you'll find a journey you will love in this new brochure.

Best wishes,

Jackie Willis CEO
