WINTER 2015
It’s Winter! These 3 Tips Will Keep You Cozy
The coldest weeks of winter are ahead. When a deep freeze is in the forecast, follow these recommendations to keep cozy and prevent pipes from freezing: 1. Set your thermostat to at least 60 degrees, even if you are away from home. 2. Leave one of your faucets dripping slowly. The moving water will prevent freezing. 3. Keep cabinet doors beneath sinks open to allow air circulation.

Community Garden Welcomes Coordinator
Megan Thomas, a resident at North Creekside Apartments, has been an active volunteer with the community garden in its first season, and we’re excited to welcome her as Community Garden Coordinator. Our neighbors at Tri-Cycle Farm will continue to offer guidance and support, but this next season, Megan will be organizing workdays and coordinating planting and harvesting, with the goal of growing food and building community. We hope to serve food from the garden at cookouts and maybe even have enough to share with local food banks. All are welcome, and no gardening experience is necessary. If you’d like know more, or to garden at North Creekside, email Megan at garden@northcreekside.com.

Service Opportunity: Free Community Meal Tina at Willow Park
Every Sunday, Feed Fayetteville volunteers work to prepare and serve a free community meal for around 100 hungry people at Trinity United Methodist Church. Please join us in preparing the meal on Sunday, January 22. We need volunteers for the afternoon before to do prep work, cutting vegetables, and baking. On Sunday afternoon, we need volunteers to deliver the food to the church, to serve food, and to wash dishes. This is our third year to volunteer for this event, and it is always a good experience. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome to help. Look for an email with details in early January, and ask your property manager if you have any questions.

New Maintenance Techs at your Service MEET BRIAN AND RUBEN!
Brian Waller is the new maintenance technician serving Rogers properties, Wilson Park Apartments, and Willow Park Apartments. He brings wealth of skills to the job, and he says that he loves that the work is different every day. He and his wife have three children, the youngest of whom is in high school. They have a menagerie of two dogs and two cats, along with a few other creatures over the years. He loves football, and tends to follow a particular player rather than a team. He’s currently rooting for Peyton Manning, and he wants to see him win one more championship before calling it quits. In his free time, you might find Brian playing his favorite app, Game of War. Ruben Ceja joins Glen and Danny as part of North Creekside Apartments’ maintenance team. He has many years of experience in property maintenance, and he takes pride in making sure that the job is done right. He and his wife have three daughters ranging from 8 to 22 years old. He loves spending time with his family. They are currently watching the TV show The Walking Dead. Ruben loves keeping up with family on Facebook, and he and his wife are Craigslist mavens, currently scouring the listings for vintage Nintendo games. Ruben wants to thank everyone at North Creekside for being so welcoming in his first weeks on the job, and he says to feel free to let him know if there’s anything he can do to help.
