What’s your analysis of the current market? It’s a great time to sell and still a remarkable time to invest. Interest rates remain low and Seattle is a top destination for business and leisure. Talent is flocking from out of state to work, and they are ready to buy. Median home prices rose over 18% the last year and predictions state local home prices will continue to rise at an average rate of 4% for at least the next 3 years.

Make Lakeside home! The Lakeside neighborhoods have always been a very desirable place to live, ever since the Madison Street trolley line carried people over the hill to Lake Washington in 1891.What makes it such a desirable area of Seattle now? 1. Close to downtown Seattle but a world away. The “commute” from downtown Seattle is only 10 minutes on a good day. That means more time for home life and activities. 2. Spectacular views are everywhere, as these neighborhoods are built on the east side of hilly Seattle, and views of Mount Rainier, Lake Washington and the Cascade mountains abound. 3. Many meandering streets, tall trees, and mature landscapes all make for a quiet almost suburban feel. 4. The neighborhood centers in Madison Park, Madrona, Madison Valley and Leschi have many shops that make living in the area more convenient and pleasant. Eat to your heart’s content, shop ‘til you drop, play your time away, all in this special place.

5.With many Lake Washington beaches at your fingertips, you can be a water baby here. 6. An infrastructure of strong schools, parks and play fields make this an ideal area to raise a family. 7. The architecture is varied and spectacular, with many homes pre-dating the 1940s. And property holds and increases its value here, too. 8. There are a huge variety of homes here, from mansions to modest homes to condos to apartments. That is part of the charm of this area.

9. This large primarily residential area is quiet and safe. 10. You can always find a good cup of coffee at one of the many neighborhood coffee shops. Nuff said! There are many realtors who specialize in the neighborhoods of Lakeside. They can acquaint you with the different areas, and help you find the home that is right for you! Call one today if you would like to see what the area has to offer.
