Frequently Asked
Questions
What’s the difference between individual therapy and traditional lessons? Therapy services are directed towards meeting very specific, and [most often] non-artistic goals - such as developing social skills, reducing anxiety, or supporting academic material. Our therapists assess each client individually, as well as document progress on set goals and objectives. Our individual lessons are personally tailored to best support each of our students’ unique learning styles, and taught by one of our highly-qualified music or art instructors. From students who are responsive to more traditional creative arts instruction practices, to learners who require additional supports in the learning and skill acquisition process, Spectrum’s instructors specialize in adapting teaching approaches for many different learning styles.
I don’t see “Adapted Lessons” listed as one of the Individual Services you offer. Do you still offer Adapted Lessons? …Good catch! All of our team members at Spectrum Creative Arts utilize a person-centered approach to the experiences they facilitate with each of our students: This means each creative experience is highly-customized to best support and celebrate the needs, interests, and passions of each of our students. In keeping with this person-centered approach at Spectrum, we have changed the verbiage of our instruction services to better reflect the wide spectrum of students and learners we have the opportunity to work with each day, while maintaining the stellar caliber of diversified instruction services our team provides.
What is the “Registration Fee” listed for each class? Spectrum is introducing a Registration Fee as part of our enrollment process to account for the collection of administrative duties associated with lesson, therapy, and class enrollment each semester. Our growing office and administrative team look forward to continuing to support your creative arts interests at Spectrum!
How do I register for classes? Registration is easy! Simply click the “Register Now” button featured on our website and complete the form online, or give us a call and our front office team will register you over the phone. Already dropping by for a lesson? Simply stop by the front desk and we’ll take care of signing you up for your class!
