SAVINGS AND OTHER OFFERS All savings and offers apply for a limited period and can be withdrawn or altered without notice. Holiday prices quoted include all applicable savings/offers and are at times a combined flight fare, accommodation rate and cruise discount that are subject to change at any time. 6. GRATUITIES AND SERVICE CHARGES The Cruise operators’ policies regarding on board gratuities and/or service charges for the services provided by their staff vary. Most Cruise operators apply one or more of the following policies: - Gratuities or Service Charges may be left to your discretion; - A daily charge may be automatically added to your on board account which can be removed on request; - A charge may be included in the price of our Cruise Packages, which you pay in advance of travel. Where this applies it may be possible to ask for the charge to be removed and added to your on board ship account. - Some Cruise operators may apply a compulsory daily service charge to your on board account but do not expect you to tip at all during the cruise. Whichever scheme the cruise operator uses, you will be required to abide by their gratuity / service charge policy and must settle your account in full, before disembarking the ship at the end of your cruise (Where we are made aware of a Cruise operators policy on gratuities or service charges details will be provided either at the time of booking, or with the Cruise operator’s tickets). GENERAL INFORMATION 6. DATA PROTECTION In order to provide you with any holidays or other services you request, the personal data that you supply to us will be passed to suppliers such as airlines, cruise operators and hoteliers. Please note that these suppliers may be located in countries outside of the UK and/or EU which do not have the same level of data protection as in the UK/EU. 7. PASSPORT, VISA, HEALTH AND TRAVEL ADVICE It is your responsibility to ensure you and your party have valid passports and any required visas or any other documentation to travel on the holiday you book. Visa and general travel information can be obtained from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office at: www.fco.gov.uk or telephone the Foreign Office Travel Advice Unit on 0845 850 2829. You must declare any pregnancy to us at the earliest opportunity as on certain cruise ships carriage of advanced pregnant women is not permitted, typically if the pregnancy is more than 24 weeks at the anticipated return date. We and/or the cruise ship have the right to refuse passage on board to any person who appears to be in advanced stages of pregnancy. 8. REQUESTS FOR SPECIAL ASSISTANCE AND SPECIAL REQUESTS You must ensure you tell your travel agent about any special needs/requirements that you or your party may have, prior to booking. Special Requests: Where special requests for flight seats, room allocation, diet considerations etc are required we must be made aware of them at time of booking. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that these requests are fulfilled, they cannot be guaranteed. Furthermore, we will not be liable for claims for consequential loss where written advice of special needs and requirements has not been received in writing at the time of booking. 9. OUR LIABILITY You should also be aware that Thomas Cook Retail Ltd or Co-op Group Travel 1 Limited legal liability to you for all packages featured in our brochures is limited as set out in our main booking conditions. We sell the Cruise Package to you as principal but third party Cruise suppliers provide the Cruise, operate the Cruise Ship and act as carrier. The conditions of carriage of the third party Cruise supplier will also apply when you book a Cruise Package. These are available on request. Please refer to the section on our liability to you in our main booking conditions for full details. Carriage of passengers and their luggage by sea is governed by the Athens Convention. You can get copies of this Convention if you ask us. The Athens Convention is expressly incorporated into these conditions and our main booking conditions and our liability for death or personal injury or for loss of or damage to luggage arising out of carriage by sea shall be determined accordingly. In most cases, the Athens Convention limits the carrier’s liability for death or personal injury or loss of or damage to luggage and makes special provision for valuables. 10.
