Dr. Hal M. Lewis leads a special online workshop that will examine alternative approaches to effective nonprofit governance—fiduciary, strategic, and generative.

Dr. Hal M. Lewis is Spertus Institute’s Chancellor and Professor of Contemporary Jewish Studies. A prolific writer and popular teacher on leadership, he is a member of the faculty of the Center For Creative Leadership in Greensboro, NC, and principal consultant for Leadership For Impact LLC, a leadership consulting practice that serves the needs of nonprofit executives and their boards.

From 2008 to 2018, he served as Spertus Institute’s eighth President and Chief Executive Officer.

MentorWorks and Leadership Academy are programs of Spertus Institute’s Center for Jewish Leadership, supported in part by a generous grant from the Crown Family.
