...and where the money has gone,
Thanks again, you have raised in exces
ss of ÂŁ100,000 in 2012.
Special Thanks Firstly, I’d like to thank everyone that has mad e some contribution to the charity during 2012 . Whether that is through running sponsored events, sponsoring someone you know, dona ting through salary deduction or dress code colle ctions, every penny we receive is gratefully received. You can be assured that the donations get put to great use as I hope this review of 2012 demonstrates. Secondly, each year we have a group of peop le that support the efforts of the charity by meeting periodically, liaising with the hospices , co-ordinating fund raising events through to delivering gifts at Christmas. It is a commitment of time and effort received from the members of the Charity Board that I would like to recognise and thank. And there is more! I would like to express my sincere thanks to Sarah Sheppard who has again supported the charity with so much administ rative support during the year. I think we have tested Sarah this year with so many grants and the doubled Disney group event and as ever, Sara h has pulled everything out of the bag to ensure that all events, meetings and general charity operations run smoothly. Thank you. To Jonathan Martin who has been a rock for the charity. As a fellow trustee Jonathan has managed the day to day financials of the char ity, keeping tabs on all monies received and agreeing on the spends. Jonathan forms a vital element to the success that you have seen in this review. Cheers mate, you’re a star! To Paul Smith for supporting the charity with resource and facilities. Without this support, the charity wouldn’t operate as it does . And finally, to Alick Smith for starting the char ity all those years ago. By now, well over 100 families have received the benefits of the Disn ey experience in otherwise tough times. It’s really very rare to see a business put back so muc h into the community. Thank you.
