Tucked quietly away in the grounds of an Elizabethan house in the heart of the village of Patrixbourne near Canterbury is this impossibly pretty two bedroom cottage. Located in the heart of the Kent countryside, you’ll find lots of references to its 900 year old history, in particular the low beams and timber framing to the walls which were all taken from an old ship. Brimming with character (the front door comes with a key so big you’ll need a wheelbarrow to carry it around in!), Barton Cottage has been extended to increase the size of the farm house style kitchen as well as add a new bathroom complete with roll top bath. These are complimented by two reception rooms, one of which features an impressive Inglenook fire place, and two good sized rooms.
